2021: Start of supply of reusable oxygen inhalation kits
In October 2012, VestMedGroup announced the start of supply of Caduceus-branded oxygen inhalers to the market. New devices, unlike disposable mask canisters on the market, are designed for repeated use.
Caduceus is a functional mobile system designed for carrying out oxygen therapy in medical institutions, at home on the recommendation of a doctor, as well as when transporting patients in emergency vehicles. In addition, the novelty can be used to provide first aid in the field.
The set includes BKO-50 pressure reducer with quick-release connection of DIN 13260-2 standard , oxygen humidifier, adult and children's oxygen masks, nasal cannulas, caffre for convenience of storage and movement of the system. It is possible to equip with a humidifier with a heating unit, which allows to maintain a balance of humidity and temperature of the supplied gas mixture.
The oxygen inhaler is also equipped with 2, 5 and 10 liter refill cylinders made seamlessly of carbon steel, which, according to the developers, has high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and withstands high temperatures. Depending on the volume of the cylinder , up to 5 sessions of oxygenotherapy can be carried out at one filling.
As noted by VestMedGroup, long-term or situational oxygenotherapy is necessary in the development of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary fibrosis and cystic fibrosis. Oxygen therapy is also used in oncology and diseases of the cardiovascular system.[1]
