Support of announcement of the IPv6-addresses on BGP

The Carbon Soft company announced on November 8, 2018 release of upgraded version of DPI (deep packet inspection) of the solution for traffic filtering according to lists of Roskomnadzor for telecom operators and Internet service providers.

As you know, since November 1 there were significant changes in traffic filtering systems in Russia. Roskomnadzor changed a format of unloadings for telecom operators, now there is a format for IPv6-records. The software developer added support of new type of the register, unified a firewall, added support of announcement of the IPv6-addresses according to the dynamic routing protocol BGP (one of traffic filtering methods).

As of November 8, IPv6-entries in the register are not added yet. Possibly, they will appear in the next few days as the state department already prepared all mechanism.

These changes mean for ordinary subscribers that, even using the IPv6-address for an exit internet, the user will not be able to visit prohibited in Russia the websites.

The updated web interface

On July 12, 2018 the company Carbon Soft developer announced the updated web interface in Carbon Reductor DPI X which is completely processed on the basis of the user experience and preferences.

Navigation - all sections of a product are collected in the left navigation menu separated into categories and a subcategory. Diagrams with statistics of operation of the server for bigger informational content. Undressed Monitoring which displays the problems detected by an intelligent system of monitoring of Carbon Soft.

One more of innovations - the added search in the register of the prohibited websites. The implemented search allows to find quickly blocked resource and to see detailed information on it. The entered functionality will help Internet service providers to find out the reasons of blocking of resources and many times to respond to the requests of subscribers quicker.

In the provided web interface the feature to browse and analyze operation of all modules of filtering of Carbon Reductor DPI X depending on traffic type is also added: HTTP/HTTPS/DNS. According to diagrams it is possible to keep track of quantity of the checked and blocked packets on the periods - day or month. The appearance of diagrams was processed for bigger informational content too.

Carbon Reductor DPI X

On May 22, 2018 the Carbon Soft company announced release release version of the next product Carbon Reductor DPI X for Internet service providers. Software will give the chance to telecom operators not only to filter traffic, but also to influence business indicators, to keep track of security of network, to notify subscribers and not only.

Developers announced the list of opportunities which will become available in 2018. Part of them is already available in the devel-version, namely:

The notification of subscribers about emergencies, at negative balance, new rates.

Carbon Reductor DPI X is integrated with billing of provider and will allow to notify subscribers on any desirable information. It can be configured easily on the server in a control panel.

Detection of network attacks, viruses and abnormal traffic.

The module will allow to reveal DDoS attacks and to react to them before subscribers handle problems to technical support of provider. Moreover, it will be possible to keep track of the anomalies of traffic which are not connected with security, and, for example, with malfunctions in network and on the equipment.

Centralized operation by several servers, single interface, API.

Carbon Reductor DPI X will receive the special interface allowing to work with the filtering server using a set of the documented methods. The web interface is aimed to be distributed, Internet service providers will be able to see all information on several servers of filtering in one place. Using it it is possible to trace effectively loading and to obtain complete data with statistics of addresses to prohibited resources.

Technologies of filtering and operational unblocking of resources.

Using the options DPI Internet service providers will be able to block more pointwise prohibited resources and to increase quality of filtering of difficult protocols, for example, of messengers with the filtered traffic. Carbon Soft together with Roskomnadzor and the Radio-frequency Center work in this direction that filtering did not affect normal users of Runet.

In addition, developers added 2 methods for an operational unblocking of accidentally unblocked resources. It is integration into DNS servers of provider and specially created white lists which include such resources and services as Google, YouTube, PSN, social networks and so on.

To all other in Carbon Reductor DPI X will be available:

2016: Carbon Reductor 8.0.0

The Russian software maker for telecom operators of Carbon Soft updated in December, 2016 Carbon Reductor - the filter of traffic of the prohibited websites to version 8.0.0.

The main feature of updating - the product is postponed for the Carbon Platform 5 platform, on a billing system of Carbon Billing 5. Positive theses of an innovation:

• increase in speed of development several times;
• installation from a universal image of ISO which will automatically make the reliable breakdown of disks used by the Carbon platform;
• autodiagnostics of a system is done time 5 minutes now, and more than once per hour as earlier;
• loading of lists in a core became otkazoustoychivy;
• the new system of updating allowing to receive only completely checked updates;

Carbon Reductor 8.0.0 is implemented at 5 telecom operators and shortly all 400 operators, using the traffic filter from Carbon Soft will be transferred to the new version that will make accomplishment of the law on blocking of the prohibited websites even better.
