Functions and opportunities
Business Edition 7000 provides full-function services of communications and joint work of a corporate class. The product is created on the basis of architecture of Cisco Unified Communications Architecture, supports different applications of high availability, allowing to create the system meeting the specific requirements of the customer.
Support of platforms and compatibility
Business Edition 7000 is created on the basis of the virtualized products Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) intended for performance improvement and density of placement with the broad range of workloads. The rack-mounted Cisco UCS C240 M3 server of a corporate class in a form factor of 2RU combines higher performance and energy efficiency of processors from the Intel Xeon E5-2600 family (height 2U). There are different options of deployment, but usually on one server from 4 to 6 applications of management or joint work are supported.
Business Edition 7000 is delivered with the preset hypervisor of virtualization and software applications, ready to deployment.

The listed applications usually are used together, providing basic functions of unified communications of Business Edition 7000:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager is the mechanism of call processing in Business Edition 7000.
- This application expands functions of work with voice and video on network devices, such as IP phones, end devices of telepresence, processing devices of a multimedia content, gateways and multimedia applications. Completely integrated services of instant messaging and the notification about presence are also included. Additional services, such as multimedia conferences, contact centers for ensuring cooperation and interactive multimedia response systems, become available using open API interfaces of telephony of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager application.
- The portfolio of clients of Cisco Jabber uses advantages of Cisco networks and software of Cisco Unified Communications Manager to providing safe, reliable and rich opportunities for joint work. These clients ensure the coordinated work in the local area network and a cloud environment, use industry standards for ensuring compatibility with solutions of Cisco and other producers.
- Cisco Unity Connection provides integration of functions of message exchange and speech recognition for a continued global access to calls and messages.
