2024: Start of sales in Russia

Sales of a new robot firefighter Citic RXR M40D, which extinguishes fire from 60 meters, have begun in Russia. This was reported on June 10, 2024 by the Russian company 3Logic Group, which began offering this product in the Russian Federation.

The robot is built on a caterpillar chassis made of refractory rubber, its length is 110 cm. Citic RXR M40D received a monitor with three modes of water cannon, which has a level of pressure and direction of water flow. The maximum water flow rate is 40 l/s. The design of the novelty provides a cooling system and compatibility with various water supply systems.

The robot is controlled using a terminal with a screen. The operator monitors information about the state of the device in real time, and also receives an image from video cameras in order to act more effectively in fire conditions. Uninterrupted long-distance communication within a radius of up to 1 km allows the operator to accurately control the robot and at the same time be safe.

According to the developers, the robot is capable of overcoming ascents with an inclination angle of 25 °, has a zero turning radius and a degree of IP65 protection. The battery life of the device is 10 hours. The kit has a unit with self-spraying function and a double water curtain.

According to Ilya Kainov, head of the robotic systems department of the 3Logic Group, the fire robot is effective in extinguishing fire on a par with people, and in some cases has advantages over them. To the advantages of the device, he attributed maneuverability and high patency in conditions that pose a threat to firefighters and rescuers. The robot will be in demand by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the fire safety services of industrial enterprises, said Kainov.[1]
