2023: Reduced average response time to 11.4 hours
The Coordination Center for Domains.RU/.RF on December 13, 2023 announced that by the end of November 2023, the fight against malicious domains in Runet reached a new level: the average response time in the Domain Patrol project dropped to a record 11.4 hours.
"Domain Patrol" is a project of the Coordination Center aimed at identifying and blocking malicious domains in the.RU and .RF zones and protecting users from fraudulent resources. According to the results of 11 months of work, 10 competent organizations and 31 registrars were involved in the Domain Patrol information system.
Competent organizations provide the Coordination Center and accredited registrars with information about resources with illegal content, cases of phishing, unauthorized access to information systems and the spread of malware using domains. And based on their requests, registrars have the right to stop delegating malicious domains.
As the project manager of the Coordination Center Yevgeny Pankov said, for 11 months of 2023, 49,768 requests were sent, following the consideration of which 48,761 malicious domains were blocked. In total, more than 80,000 requests were processed by registrars during the project.
