2019: DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR

On July 29, 2019 the company D-Link provided wireless routers AC1200 for telecom operators with support VDSL2 and 4G of LTE – DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR. Devices are held for use as subscriber access devices in networks federal and regional providers, providing services high-speed access in Internet, IP telephony and IPTV on VDSL, ADSL2+ technologies Ethernet, 3G/4G.

According to the producer, DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR are implemented on a high-performance hardware platform based on the RTL8685PB processor with clock rate of 1 GHz and the wireless module AC1200 providing speed to 867 Mbps in the range of 5 GHz and up to 300 Mbps in 2.4 GHz. Routers support the VDSL2 (ITU G.993.2) standard, allowing to transfer asymmetric and symmetric traffic (downstream and upstream) with joint speed to 200 Mbps.

DSL-245GR is equipped with 4 LAN 10/100/1000BASE-T ports (any of which can be appointed by WAN port, but no more than one WAN to the device), DSL port with the RJ-11 connector for connection to the VDSL line and USB connector 2.0. DSL-245GR is equipped with four fixed external antennas with gain amount 5 db, on two on each wireless range.

DSL-G2452GR is equipped with WAN port 10/100/1000BASE-T, 4 LAN 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, DSL port with the RJ-11 connector for connection to the VDSL line, USB connector 2.0 and two FXS ports with the RJ-11 connector for connection of analog phones with a possibility of commission of calls via the Internet. Any DSL-G2452GR Ethernet-port can be appointed as LAN or WAN port (no more than one WAN port to the device). In the absence of wire connection on WAN port all five ports of the router can be involved in quality of LAN ports. DSL-G2452GR is equipped with four internal antennas with gain amount 2 db, on two on each wireless range.

The adapter of a power supply and splitter are included in the delivery of devices. In the wireless range of 5 GHz for DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR the functionality of TX Beamforming for dynamic adjustment of the direction characteristic and formation of the signal sent towards the client is maintained. It optimizes work of a wireless network, provides continuous reproduction of stream HD video, stable work of game sessions and fast loading of big files, emphasized in D-Link.

According to the statement of the producer, routers are completely adapted for work with IPTV and provide high-quality reproduction in a home network various to media content. IGMP Proxy and different options of use of VLAN is supported. The multifunction USB port supports connection USB drives, printers and 3G/LTE-modems. The built-in torrent-client allows to download files on the USB drive without use PC, and media server of DLNA – to broadcast the loaded media content on smartphones, tablets and Smart TV. Remote access to the drive on to protocols FTP or SMB is possible. For connections of DSL, Ethernet and 3G/4G reservation of WAN is supported: in case of refusal the main connection the router automatically activates an alternative channel. The functionality security of DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR includes filtering on IPMAC//URL-to the addresses, firewall with connection supervision. For remote connection to a home network on protected VPN- tunnels support of the protocol is implemented IPsec. Built-in service of content filtering Yandex.DNS allows to protect users from fraudulent and harmful websites and also to protect children and teenagers from visit of the websites capable to do harm to their to health or development. Safe transfer data on wireless connection is provided with application of the WPA/WPA2 (Personal/Enterprise) protocols.

For setup and management well free mobile application D-Link Assistant. The application will help to configure quickly Internet connection, a wireless network and IPTV, to include guest network Wi-Fi, to block the websites, undesirable to the child, using the URL filter or service Yandex.DNS, to configure VPN tunnels, to switch-off indicators and many other things. Expanded setup and management are performed using the Russian-language Web interface and also under protocols Telnet/SSH.

As noted in D-Link, in devices the built-in client of TR-069 for remote diagnostics and management providing fall forward of reaction to requests and customer service qualities and allowing to reduce load of technical support services of providers is implemented. Routers are included in the program of customization of the equipment for Internet service providers. The program includes placement of a logo on the device body, individual design of packaging, development of the built-in software taking into account specific requirements of the customer and adding of necessary functionality (for example, the SLA agent for monitoring of operability of client networks).

As of August, 2019 DSL-245GR and DSL-G2452GR routers are already available to the order. The recommended price for end users is $79 and $89 respectively.
