D-Link of EXO is a line of routers.
On October 5, 2017 the D-Link company represents generation of routers of the EXO series with support of wireless standard 802.11ac of Wave 2 and MU-MIMO technology.
Routers are intended for application in the modern home wireless networks with a large number of the users who are at the same time working with multimedia applications, games, video chats and strimingovy services with quality of video Full HD and 4K HD.
As a part of a line:
- DIR-882 with ports USB 3.0 / USB 2.0 and up to 2600 Mbps with a general speed of wireless connection (up to 800 Mbps in the range of 2.4 GHz and 1733 Mbps in the range of 5 GHz);
- DIR-878 with the general speed of wireless connection up to 1900 Mbps (up to 600 Mbps in the range of 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps in the range of 5 GHz);
- DIR-853 with USB 3.0 port and up to 1300 Mbps with a general speed of wireless connection (up to 450 Mbps in the range of 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps in the range of 5 GHz).
Devices are executed on the basis of dual core processor MediaTek MT7621AT with a frequency of 880 MHz, equipped with gigabit ports LAN/WAN and 4 antennas with dBi gain amount 5.
The wireless module is executed on a chipset of MediaTek MT7615DN and supports operation modes 4T4R (DIR-882), 3T3R (DIR-878) and 2T2R (DIR-853). The MU-MIMO technology and the bandwidth increased up to 160 MHz provide loading of a multimedia content and stream broadcast of video as Ultra HD at the same time on all attached devices.
Routers are supplied to the markets of the USA and Western Europe.
Delivery to the Russian market is organized with the original localized software. It supports schemes of connection and tariff plans of the Russian Internet service providers, work with IPTV and Smart TV, service of content filtering Yandex.DNS, the simplified procedure of initial setup using the master, expanded settings using the Anweb web interface, autosoftware updating and many other things.
The start of sales of DIR-882, DIR-878 and DIR-853 routers in Russia is planned for the IV quarter 2017.
