All-in-One market potential
One recent trend has been the increased use of all-in-one computers in the business user segment. All-in-one PCs that combine a system unit and a touch monitor in a single package can get rid of wires and take up very little space, providing users with maximum comfort and convenience. Due to its high ergonomics, modern All-in-Ones significantly improve the organization of the user's workspace.
The use of all-in-one solutions in the business segment has been steadily growing for several years and has become especially noticeable in the last 2 years. In Russia, the growth in the use of all-in-one units is confirmed by the data of the analytical agency ITResearch, which noted in 2014 a significant increase in the share of all-in-one units in the segment "Personal devices for business" - from 11% in the first quarter to 17% in the fourth quarter of 2014. The trend continued in 2015. According to IDC, in the second quarter of 2015, the share of all-in-ones was 14.2% of all desktop shipments. Taking into account the seasonal factor, it can be argued that the steady growth of the share of all-in-ones continues in 2015.
The reason for this growth, according to IDC, is that the business segment of the Russian market began to actively switch to all-in-ones. And it's no coincidence. Recently , Intel's innovative technologies have reduced the size of components, significantly increased their performance, and reduced cost. Previously, components designed for laptops and ultrabooks were used to create all-in-ones. Such components are usually significantly more expensive than components intended for ordinary desktop computers.
Today, it is possible to realize affordable all-in-one solutions with a large selection of configurations based on conventional components. This approach simplifies the repair and upgrade of devices, which makes it possible to carry out these works with the specialists of the customer's IT department. This reduces TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and increases the availability of All-in-One PCs to automate user workstations.
DEPO Neos C522 All-in-One
All-in-One PC - The Natural Evolution of Your Desktop PC
The evolution of computing technology has led to the emergence of a huge number of personal devices in various form factors. However, the development of classic desktops has not stopped. A significant evolutionary step was the emergence of all-in-one computers, or all-in-one devices, combining the monitor and the system unit in a single package.
The mass penetration of all-in-ones into offices began several years ago, although for the first time the idea of such a computer was implemented by the company, Apple releasing the first All-in-One device back in 1984. But then this decision was not widely used, and the first massive form factor was the company's classic PCs. IBM
However, since 2012, all-in-one computers have confidently gained their place on user desks. The obvious advantages of All-in-Ones today do not need proof, and most leading computer manufacturers offer a large selection of such devices.
Until recently, the main deterrent to the wide penetration of all-in-ones into company offices was price. With comparable performance, the All-in-One was much more expensive than a classic desktop. The reason for the high price of all-in-ones was the use of relatively expensive components. To create ergonomic and compact All-in-Ones, special motherboards, processors, RAM and hard drives were used, which were designed for ultra-thin laptops and tablets. Such components are noticeably more expensive than their counterparts for ordinary PCs. In addition, the layout of the all-in-one unit imposed restrictions on the power consumption and cooling of the system, which limited the variety of possible configuration options for the all-in-one unit.
A small selection of available All-in-One PC configurations, as well as limited upgrade capabilities, was another deterrent to All-in-One PC distribution.
DEPO All-in-Ones
Intel's new developments have provided an evolutionary leap in the development of All-in-Ones. New Intel® Core™ processors of the 4th generation possess the lowered energy consumption and the increased performance. Thanks to this, it became possible to use new processors in compact all-in-one computers.
In March 2015, the Russian company DEPO Computers launched new all-in-one computers using the latest Intel technologies. They combine all the advantages of classic desktops with the ergonomics of an all-in-one computer. The features of the new All-in-Ones are the affordable price, as well as the use of typical components designed for classic PCs, which provides a wide range of possible All-in-One configurations.
The DEPO Neos C522 features an elegant 6 cm thick chassis.
In general, the new DEPO All-in-Ones are an excellent solution for equipping users' desktops, providing high performance office and business applications.
Advantages
A distinctive feature of the DEPO Neos C522 all-in-one unit was the use of standard components with the ability to widely choose the device configuration for a specific business task of the user. To ensure comfortable operation, the All-in-One is equipped with a built-in silent 200W power supply. Separately supplied is the VESA mount, which allows you to hang the all-in-one unit on the wall.
Information Protection
Separately, you should mention the all-in-one tools for ensuring information security. The built-in video camera is equipped with a standard mechanical shutter, which allows the user to close the camera to avoid unauthorized video shooting. In addition, the All-in-One chassis is equipped with a Kensington lock and a special protective cover that protects against access to the ports and interfaces of the All-in-One.
The built-in smart card reader allows you to organize strict two-factor authorization of all-in-one users. Additionally, it is possible to install a certified operating system and certified software and hardware for information protection.
On the basis of the new All-in-One, DEPO Computers has developed a specialized solution, which is an automated workstation that ensures the user's safe operation in two physically isolated segments of the network. In this solution, the All-in-One and Ultra-Compact PC are combined into a single design. Each of these two computers connects to its own network segment. One segment is a closed internal LAN and the other is an open Internet-connected network . Switching between computers is provided by the KVM switch, while the image from each of the two computers is displayed on the All-in-One screen.
Made in Russia
The new DEPO All-in-Ones are designed to meet the requirements of Russian users, including product certification for Russian requirements and compliance with information protection laws and regulations.
The use of Russian-made computer equipment significantly reduces the risks of international sanctions and supports the import substitution policy adopted in our country.
The new DEPO Neos C522 is built on standard components and offers a wide range of configurations. This allows you to select a specific version of the All-in-One configuration that fully corresponds to the customer's task at a fairly affordable price. The new DEPO Neos C522 device is not inferior to similar models of foreign vendors, and has no analogues in terms of the wide choice of configurations and security.
