The operation of ACLs on virtual network switches in terms of creating reverse rules for receiving response packets has been optimized.
SpaceVM 6.3 implements the ability to upload CEF events to external systems such as ArcSight, which allows you to additionally ensure SpaceVM information security. Such systems make it possible to analyze the recorded events in an automated mode in order to identify possible incidents of information security. CLI events are recorded and the result of their execution is implemented on the controller. Events executed in the CLI on virtualization hosts are recorded in the web interface, and then can be transmitted to external monitoring systems, such as ArcSight.
As part of the work on optimizing the security of the product, the access control and control system, the possibility of blocking the user by IP address was created. The functionality allows you to additionally protect the virtualization system from unauthorized access at the level of blocking the IP address. A safe session makes it possible to secure the connection between the logon token and the IP address from which the logon was made. If the token associated with this IP address is used from another IP address, the user will not be authorized.
It became possible to monitor and automatically restart guest OS if they are unavailable. The function allows you to monitor the activity of the OS of the virtual machine according to various features. If the OS is unavailable, when the function is enabled, attempts will be made to automatically reboot the VM. After several attempts without response from the OS, the VM will be turned off. This function will allow the user to make access to the VM in automated mode, in case of any technical problems with the VM.
It is possible to change the name of the block device (LUN) at the discretion of the user. In previous versions, the name of the block device was automatically assigned a value obtained from the DSS and equal to the path, which was not always convenient when working with multiple LUNs and identifying them. Now, after automatic addition, the name of the block device can be edited to another convenient/understandable one. If the user name is different from the path, the path value in the LUN list can always be seen by the tooltip.
The functionality of working with tags has been expanded, it has become possible to assign 30 or more tags to an entity. With a large number of entities, the functionality allows you to group tags into categories and apply various scenarios to them, which will maintain the stability of the virtual infrastructure.
The graphical Web interface was optimized in terms of adaptability and visualization of part of the parameters.
