2022: Opening of the data center in Minsk
Softline Group of Companies, a provider of solutions and services in the field of digital transformation and information security, on December 28, 2022 informed TAdviser about the opening of a data processing center in Minsk.
According to company representatives, the data center level corresponds to Tier II +, a high level of protection, fire resistance and cooling is provided. At the same time, Softline assumes financial responsibility in the event of a capacity failure, guaranteeing SLA up to 99.982% (depending on the selected configuration). The data center is designed for 38 stands, and the main customers will be companies from Russia and Belarus.
According to Softline, the launch of the data center in Minsk will increase the company's capabilities in allocating capacity for customers, as well as ensure the provision of more services in terms of data storage, infrastructure projects, dedicated solutions and solutions for large amounts of data (such as video conferencing, backup, disaster recovery).
Thanks to the opening of the data center, Softline will also receive additional opportunities for the development and provision of services in the perimeter of friendly countries. The company has a high level of expertise in building solutions that ensure digital sovereignty in the Russian circuit, and sees wide prospects for scaling this experience to friendly markets.
Softline is working on the possibility of providing a secure cloud in Belarus in accordance with the country's legislation. After obtaining the appropriate licenses, the company will be able to provide services not only to private, but also to government customers.
"Many companies are following the path of colocation, but we decided that the most correct strategy in modern conditions will be to build and buy ready-made sites with equipment inside. Of course, this is a more expensive story, but this makes it possible to provide the customer with the entire range of services and services at once. This is especially true for customers, taking into account the situation of a reduced supply of equipment on the market, - said Dmitry Isaev, head of the cloud solutions department at Softline Group of Companies. |
As he explained, Softline is aimed at expanding the number of foreign sites in friendly markets, as some customers conduct relocation, and they have to look for new partners in other countries. Softline wants to maintain the opportunity to cooperate with such customers and provide them with familiar services even abroad.
Buying a data center in Minsk is only a small step in fulfilling Softline's global plan. Our strategy consists in a multi-cloud concept that allows the customer to choose services based not only on territorial alignment. We want the client, based on financial assessment and convenience, to choose from a variety of solutions available through a single platform, "added Dmitry Isaev. |
