2015: Products of biometric identification are integrated into Dell Wyse

On June 25, 2015 the companies Dell also BioLink Solutions announced integration of technologies of biometric identification in zero clients of Dell Wyse Xenith.

The additional security level was added to properties of zero clients: users of zero clients of Dell Wyse Xenith can become authorized in a virtual environment using USB fingerprint scanners BioLink U-Match.

Use of biometric technologies provides a number of opportunities:

• exempts users from need to remember and enter logins and passwords;
• saves technical support specialists from the mass of requests, connected with the fact that the user forgot the password or blocked the account the wrong password entry;
• provides to Information Security Service a convenient and well-tried remedy of identification of users of corporate networks and management of their rights or powers; if the password or the map can be stolen or to voluntarily transfer to other person, then with a fingerprint similar manipulations are excluded.

By means of integration of Dell Wyse Xenith and biometric technologies, the key products BioLink became available to customers of zero clients:

• IDenium is the system of a uniform biometric input (SSO — Single Sign-On) in the operating system and applications. When using IDenium it is also possible to replace with a fingerprint logins and passwords with access to the on-line resources requiring authorization;

• BioTime is a system of accounting of working time. For example, on the thin client of the head of HR department it is possible to make reports on observance of employment policies and procedures in all company, in its separate divisions or certain workers;
