Delta Electronics: InfraSuite Manager

Delta Electronics: InfraSuite Manager is technology for infrastructure management of DPC.

On November 22, 2017 the Delta Electronics company announced availability of the modules Asset, Work Order and Asset Inspection as a part of DCIM Delta InfraSuite Manager.

The InfraSuite Manager technology is intended for monitoring and infrastructure management of data processing centers by operators of DPC, heads of technical divisions and a key element.

According to the statement of developers, InfraSuite Manager has high flexibility. Its modularity allows to add necessary components. InfraSuite Manager optimizes use of resources, providing decrease in effectiveness ratio of energy consumption (PUE), cost reduction and the increased fault tolerance within infrastructure.

Delta InfraSuite Manager helps to struggle with the incomplete load of resources of DPC arising because of redundancy of the equipment.

The modules Asset (Resources), Work Order (Task) and Asset Inspection (Check of resources) are added to acting — Energy (Energy), Slide Show (Slideshow), Capacity (Capacity) and Base (Basic model).

Modules perform functions:

• Base Model (Basic model)
  • the Basic module is the platform of management displaying the floor-by-floor plan of DPC and signals from devices in real time. All data are imposed on the physical plan of data center, and at emergence of any problems, the module issues recommendations about their elimination.

• Module PUE Energy (Indicator of energy consumption (PUE))
  • the Module PUE Energy is responsible for the analysis of energy consumption, calculation of PUE, the expense accounting on the electric power and the analysis of earlier data retrieveds.

• Slide Show (Slideshow)
  • the Module Slide Show displays in real time on videowalls data, diagrams and charts. Information from several installed systems of InfraSuite Manager can be united in one slideshow and vice versa — data from one installed system of InfraSuite Manager can be reflected on several slideshows.

• Module Energy Analysis (Analysis of energy consumption)
  • the Module Energy Analysis considers data on all organization, including, in all its branches. Electric power cost in the different countries and regions is different therefore the calculation formula of costs forms proceeding from specific conditions.

• Module Capacity (Capacity)
  • the Module Capacity provides to supervision manpower of DPC detailed information on space in racks, weight, network resources and power for exact planning. In process of expansion of DPC such opportunities are extremely important for providing current demands without attraction of additional resources.

• Module Asset (Resources)
  • the Module Asset allows supervision manpower of DPC to find quickly power and the IT equipment on the floor-by-floor plan of DPC, to define its operational status and loading. Diagrams on resources in each rack are available to specialists, they can keep track of interrelations between energy consumption and network connections.

• Module Work Order (Tasks)
  • the Module Work Order provides the integrated platform for economic and convenient change management.

• Module Asset Inspection (Check of resources)
  • the Module Asset Inspection is used together with convenient mobile application. Checking can scan QR codes and load photos of the checked resources into InfraSuite Manager. Checks are registered, and on the basis of the data obtained thanks to the integrated analytical functionality, heads make decisions.
