2022: 1,000 small drones per month start

Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" organized mass production of 1000 small drones per month. On December 1, 2022, Yegor Shcherbakov, chief designer for civil engineering at Obukhovsky Zavod JSC (part of the concern), spoke about this.

According to him, the manufactured drones are commercial products for the civilian market, and the price of the product is dictated by demand. As the number of drones produced and the share of domestic components in them increases, the retail cost will certainly decrease, the designer added.

Everyone can estimate the amount of work carried out and assess their capabilities to prepare the release of the finished product, based on the scope of the package: software, controllers, receivers, transmitters, control equipment, protective case, tablet, frame, fasteners, casings, blades, cradles, wires, motors, charging and much more, - said Shcherbakov.

We are talking about the Dobrynya drone, which, according to RIA Novosti, was previously criticized by military bloggers and experts. One of the claims was related to the low level of device localization.

Shcherbakov stressed that Almaz-Antey did not declare 100% independent production of all parts.

We are talking about our development. Dobrynya is a product of the work of our engineers and designers. Naturally, there are components that are still easier to buy than to produce, but their share is constantly decreasing, the designer added.

He noted that imported engines were indeed installed on the Dobrynya UAV of the first series, but by the beginning of December 2022 the concern was putting its own engines, and we are talking about a significant share. So, the engines, controller and software of the drone - its own design "Almaz-Anthea."^[1]
