2023: Product Announcement
On August 4, 2023, it became known that the Radar MMS Scientific and Production Enterprise, specializing in the creation of electronic systems and complexes, has developed a new helicopter-type electric drone. This aircraft is able to recharge and conduct reconnaissance in a fully automatic mode.
According to TASS, the drone has a take-off mass of approximately 30 kg, and the payload mass is up to 7 kg. The charge of the battery pack is enough for an hour and a half in the airspace. The device is capable of solving various problems, but the main purpose is to monitor territories. Passing any special certification procedures for the operation of UAVs is not required.
| This is not a quadcopter, but a helicopter. He was given the task for a week - for example, to monitor the area for the invasion of saboteurs - and he begins to monitor the situation. He monitored, recharged, took off again - day and night, 24 to 7, - said Ivan Antsev, executive director of Radar mms. |
Depending on the functions performed and the requirements of the customer, the drone can be equipped with various equipment. It can be, in particular, a specialized optical-electronic system, lidar, a thermal imager, a gas analyzer for environmental monitoring or a gamma-ray detector for monitoring the radiation situation. In addition to independent use, this aircraft can be used in conjunction with a drone port - a complex that serves as a base station for drones. A small auxiliary drone is located inside the station, which allows it to be used as needed when performing certain tasks. In general, the new drone can perform tasks virtually without operator intervention.[1]
