EMC VMAX3 is the corporate platform of data management.
On July 9, 2014 EMC announced VMAX3 exit - bases for a hybrid cloud.
A system is developed as a basis for creation of hybrid clouds and provides implementation of the "Data Storage as Service" model.
- New EMC VMAX3 system represents the first open corporate platform of data management which essentially changes idea of a corporate system of storage.
- In comparison with the systems of the previous generation it has by 3 times higher performance and for 50% smaller total cost of ownership.
- HYPERMAX OS is the first solution integrating a hypervisor of storage systems and the operating system which allows to build in infrastructure services of data storage at the level of an array.
- The architecture of Dynamic Virtual Matrix allows to select dynamically computing power for observance of the service levels in the conditions of the mixed loadings.
- EMC ProtectPoint provides direct backup on the EMC Data Domain systems, accelerating backup by 10 times and excepting need for traditional infrastructure of backup.
2015: VMAX3 is updated
On May 19, 2015 EMC provided the updated VMAX3 data management packet.
Solution VMAX3 received the new level of automation, upgrade and consolidation.
