The VNXe systems were developed for professionals in the field of IT with brief experience in the field of data storage. They provide unique customizers using "masters" and the distribution functions of resources focused on applications that allows customers to configure in read minutes their configuration for storage of 500 Exchange mailboxes or to select capacity in 1 Tb for data storage of VMware.

EMC VNXe 3150

On May 28, 2012 EMC on EMC World 2012 transformed the unified solutions on data storage of VNX which were mentioned by awards, having released updates of the equipment and the software. EMC strengthened also the leadership in corporate FLASH technology, having added the new features increasing efficiency of FLASH disks, having reduced at the same time cost, having provided protection of applications and having simplified management of data storage in the environment of VMware. The VNX series was developed for application of the last innovations in FLASH disks technology, the maximum performance improvement and system effectiveness of data storage, having minimized cost value per 1 Gbyte. Combining FLASH disks with the EMC FAST™ Suite software package, customers get optimal advantages of the strategy of FLASH 1st.

New expansions for a pool of products of data storage increase efficiency of strategy of FLASH 1st

• New expansions for a pool of products of data storage of VNX will provide more high efficiency at decrease by 38% of initial acquisition value of the FLASH disks levels. • New software of EMC AppSync offers a naive approach with a possibility of self-service based on SLA for protection of the virtualized Microsoft applications on the VNX systems. Having selected necessary plans of service, owners of applications can protect working information and quickly recover the data with detailing up to an object. AppSync offers also service of monitoring of protection of applications which generates notifications when SLA are not executed.

• New features of VNX Snapshot provide now support of 256 written pictures on each number of the logic device (LUN) – up to 32,000 on a system (depending on the VNX system size) and also pictures of pictures that does it ideal for testing, development and backup of a disk. During the work together with AppSync these pictures are structured according to applications and can be used for fast and effective providing working data to the copy for development and applications testing.

• EMC expands the portfolio with software for the platform of data storage of VNX, filling up it with a packet of EMC Storage Analytics Suite which is constructed based on vCenter Operations Management Suite. It is software will allow to optimize administration of pools of products of data storage of VNX and to add SLA with extensive analytics of performance and capacity and also deep monitoring of working capacity and diagnostics with a possibility of simultaneous display of a configuration and performance in EMC FAST Suite.

• New integration of VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite with EMC VNX Connector will provide also intuitive meter panels with removal of notifications on working capacity and patent analytics, having been administrators a comprehensive picture of all domains.

EMC VNXe 3200

VNXe 3200 three times faster works with virtual applications and files and supports three times more virtual machines. At the same time a system still takes not enough place, finding room in a compact size 2U, and its low cost makes it the first a data storage flash array available even for the small organizations.

Besides, VNXe 3200 has features which have no senior devices of a line. They allow to simplify its use significantly: the built-in master of installation allows to configure SAN and NAS less than in 15 minutes, the system of creation of snapshots allows to appropriate to files and blocks the separate addresses of a disk, and the new system of a metrics allows to display the current performance visually.

In addition EMC starts Project Liberty – the software for the VNX series allowing to create virtual storages. It gives the chance to increase considerably functionality of the device, allowing to develop applications also flexibly, as well as in a cloud environment, in software-defined DPCs.

Also EMC will provide technology of enciphering of EMC D@RE for all line of arrays of data storage of VNX, capable to perform an encryption of the data written on disks, making impossible reading information at their not authorized withdrawal. It allows even to the small organizations to protect confidentiality of the data reliably.

2014: Updating of VNXe 3200

On June 18, 2014 EMC announced inclusion of the updated VNXe 3200 line in structure of new infrastructures of VSPEX Proven.

By means of MCx technologies and a packet of FAST Suite the new VNXe system exceeds the previous solutions VNXe on power, efficiency and usability.

Main characteristics of VNXe technology:

VNXe3200 system is offered as a part of VSPEX Proven infrastructures: in a configuration about 125 virtual machines and up to 500 virtual work places are supported. New solutions of VSPEX provide placement to 2 thousand Exchange mailboxes and support more than 20 thousand users of SharePoint.
