ESET NOD32 Gateway Security

On February 6, 2012 the ESET company, the developer of antivirus software, the expert in the field of protection against cyber crime and computer threats, announces the beginning of open beta testing of the solution ESET NOD32 Gateway Security for a complex set of programs for protection of corporate network Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway.

ESET NOD32 Gateway Security ensures safety of IT infrastructure from all types of cyberthreats at the level of the gateway even before their penetration into corporate network. The specialized solution is developed for a set of the Microsoft Forefront TMG programs and reliably spam-protects also viruses by means of the effective centralized filtering mail and web traffic under the HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP protocols.

The product ESET NOD32 Gateway Security also includes the application for the centralized administration - ESET Remote Administrator. Besides, the solution differs in high performance at the minimum consumption of system resources even at high loads on corporate network.

Antivirus software of ESET NOD32 Gateway Security supports the following software platforms:

• 32-bit versions of Microsoft ISA Server 2006 Standard/Enterprise;
• 64-bit versions of Microsoft Forefront TMG Standard/Enterprise.

The beta of the product ESET NOD32 Gateway Security for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway is available to all users to testing. The ESET company does not recommend to install betas of anti-virus solutions on the PC and systems which are carrying out crucial tasks.

The business product ESET NOD32 Gateway Security for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (Forefront TMG) - the first corporate product ESET developed especially for Microsoft Forefront TMG. It allows to unroll and customize quickly an information security system of the company, having provided complete scanning of web traffic and protection of the proxy server against spyware, spam and malware (including the newest, not entered to anti-virus bases yet). Detection and neutralization of potential threats is performed at the level of the gateway, preventing potential infection of servers and workstations.

At verification of the ESET NOD32 Gateway Security system for Microsoft Forefront TMG uses the mode of multithreaded scanning of the HTTP, FTP, SMTP, IMAP and POP3 protocols which is not influencing server capacity. High-speed performance is also promoted by the minimum system requirements of a product and its optimization for work in server environment. It should be noted that the solution automatically detects and excludes critical files of the operating system that ensures smooth operation of the server. Increase in security of corporate network is also promoted by the ESET SysInspector utility which performs the deep analysis of a system of information protection for identification of potential threats. For bigger safety of corporate information, the application allows to trace the user whose actions led to hit of threat in network.

The antispam module used in the product ESET contains a complex of the modern technologies providing full protection against not requested advertizing mailings. All received letters undergo testing by a number of techniques (the content analysis, a key word, statistical heuristics, recognition algorithms, etc.). Such complex approach not only provides reliable spam protection, but also minimizes false operations.

Control of ESET for Microsoft Forefront TMG is exercised by means of the updated ESET Remote Administrator console – it allows to make remotely installation, to update and administer the system of information protection.
