Providing safe access to Esmart Auto-MCDS in a pandemic
On March 24, 2020, ISBC Group announced the provision of safe access to Esmart Auto-MCDS in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, when it becomes extremely important to ensure the self-isolation regime. Minimizing stay in public places and the use of public transport can prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. One of the key ways to ensure secure access in such conditions is to use radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies.
Usually, many parking lots are equipped with card access systems that require multiple contact operations with parking tickets and opening windows. Thus, all the advantages of personal transport safety are leveled and the risks of contact with the COVID-19 virus grow.
ISBC RFID technologies allow you to contactless travel to the territory of the cottage village, office center, parking without opening windows. Miniature RFID tags are placed on the windshield or UHF frequency band maps are issued to the driver, storing a unique identification number and not requiring power supply. When a car falls within range of an RFID reader, the tag responds with its unique number encoded into its memory. The authentication process is automatic.
The main components of the Auto-MCDS ESMART vehicle identification system are RFID tags, stationary RFID readers and long-range antennas - up to 15 meters. Registration and monitoring points are equipped with RFID readers and antennas. The system connects to most MCDS controllers using the Wiegand protocol and integrates with all common barrier models. Autonomous operation of RFID equipment is possible without connection to external monitoring systems.
RFID tags can be made in the form of a sticker on the windshield of a car, issued to the driver of a card or a mark in a body attached to the body. The device has the necessary protection against interception of individual code and, if necessary, can be protected with a password.
ESMART AUTO-SCUD, developed by ISBC, is a completely ready-made solution for safe access to the territory of cottage villages, office centers, courtyards and parking lots. The system provides complete automation of driver access. We are helping to reduce the number of contacts on scanners and terminals at barriers, which is extremely important in the context of the high alert mode for COVID-19, - said Roman Podprugin, Head of the Department of RFID Identification of Transport and People of ISBC |
Capabilities, composition and principle of operation of Avto-MCDS
According to information for March 2020, the AUTO-SCUD ESMART access system is:
- RFID for cottages
- A complete solution that works autonomously, without the need to connect to third-party systems.
- Comfort and safety when accessing the cottage village.
- Lack of morning and evening congestion at the checkpoint.
- The ability to automate the access of cars to the territory of the cottage village.
- The ability to send SMS messages.
RFID-System includes:
- RFID equipment (RFID reader and set of antennas) for automating the access of cars to the controlled territory of Avto-SCUD
- System Administration Software (Remote Web Browser)
- SDK/API for integration into third-party information systems
- Test set of RFID tags for quick start and for debugging purposes (tags are entered into the system)
- Integration with the existing MCDS via the Wiegand interface (26/34) with the ability to register the direction of travel
The system is great for automating car access to cottage communities. Morning and evening congestion at the barriers - now this is not about your village!
The principle of operation of the system is that each car of the village is equipped with a specialized radio frequency label containing an electronic chip. The most common type of label is a car windshield sticker. The second most common is a card with the size of a regular bank. Depending on the settings of the system, the desire of the customer and the configuration of the checkpoint, the mark can be determined at the entrance, from a distance of up to 15 meters. When a mark is detected, the System checks the access rights to the territory, according to the results of the check, a barrier is raised or gates are opened, which are equipped with automatic drives. You can control almost any barriers or drives of swing or rollback gates.
