2020: Presentation of the time cut-outs Power Defense
On July 24, 2020 the Eaton company announced an exit of the Power Defense series. It is the optimal choice in a segment of housing and commercial construction, providing reliable protection at the attractive price, and conforms to international standards IECs.
A series of time cut-outs in the cast Power Defense body has the compact sizes, ergonomic construction and has recognizable appearance. In the solutions Eaton aims at standardization and unification of components that will allow to reduce costs of time for installation, operation and service of devices. So, in construction electronic Power Expert Release (PXR) releasers which can be met also in other time cut-outs of the company are used. Using freely distributed software condition monitoring and diagnostics of faults of switches through a clear and user-friendly interface becomes Power Expert Protection Manager (PXPM) possible.
The Power Defense series is equipped with thermomagnetic releasers up to 800 A in two options of calibration: 40 and 50 °C. For the most flexibility of application the range includes 3 and 4-polar time cut-outs in all standard sizes. Also in a series the wide list of different accessories which installation is possible on an object is submitted: auxiliary contacts, motor drives, rotary handles, releasers of minimum voltage, independent releasers, mounting accessories and many other things. Besides auxiliary contacts of time cut-outs of the Power Defense series have the updated, more compact construction allowing to organize more than auxiliary and signal contacts in one distributor.
Power Defense takes a step forward in availability of technical data: QR codes on the body of switches provide access to technical data sheets of devices and data on testing of each specific switch, at the same time the simple system of formation of names does process of selection of the necessary device by the most transparent without risk of an error.
