2021: Start Selling

In early November 2021, Ford began to separately sell electric engines to convert cars into electric vehicles. We are talking about a system that is used in the Mustang Mach-E GT electric car. The Eluminator e-crate electric motor develops a power of 281 liters. from. and 433 Nm of torque.

As part of the presentation of the novelty, the automaker built in a single copy an electric version of the classic F-100 pickup truck of 1978. It is equipped with two Eluminator e-crate electric motors with a total capacity of 480 horsepower. The power plant produces 860 Nm of torque. The characteristics of the vehicle correspond to the Mustang Mach-E GT, but it is made in the classic style of Ford trucks.

Ford owners from the very beginning personalized, customized and improved their cars - from changing appearance to increasing power, "said Eric Sin, global director of car personalization, accessories and licensing. "Our F-100 Eluminator concept is an example of how to use early models of cars and ensure zero exhaust emissions.

The electric motor can be purchased from official Ford dealers in spare parts warehouses or on the Internet on the Ford Performance Parts website. The price of the electric motor is $3900 and is aimed at designers who are looking for a transmission with a transverse orientation for electrifying a number of vehicles - from modern to old cars, trucks and SUVs.

Ford said it is aware of the importance of the secondary market for motorists and as the industry becomes more electrified, it wants to become a leader in the electric parts market.

Ford Performance plans to develop a broader list of components for the Eluminator transmission with some leading manufacturers, including battery systems, controllers, and traction inverters, to close the loop on complete secondary market electrification solutions.[1]
