Testing of the emergency warning system for small aircraft based on ERA-GLONASS was implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation within the framework of the action plan approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

The experiment was carried out on An-2 aircraft. It used several models of production equipment satellite navigation Russian that were equipped with aircraft.

The experiment confirmed the efficiency, high data transfer rate through ERA-GLONASS and the accuracy of positioning ships in uncontrolled airspace. This solution is another quickly realized function of the state information system, which in seconds allows you to receive information about the accident, reduce the time of search operations that previously took from several days to weeks, which means saving the lives of crews and passengers, increasing the reliability and attractiveness of this segment of the aviation business for users, - said Alexey Raikevich, General Director of GLONASS JSC.

He added that on the basis of requests from aviators, a commercial service "Aviation Monitoring" was created, which ensures the transfer of legally significant information in an uncorrected form to state departments and aircraft owners. The solution was developed taking into account the successful experience of using ERA-GLONASS as the only opportunity to continue flights of 200 aircraft when processing agricultural land during the "closed sky" in the south of the country in 2022.

The testing participants confirmed the functionality and convenience of using aviation trackers, noted the feasibility and relevance of using ERA-GLONASS to improve safety, as well as the development and expansion of the geography of small aviation flights in Russia.
