Ford Telematics

Ford Telematics is telemetric service from Ford Sollers for fleet management.

Ford Telematics in general is the electronic block installed in reliably protected place and connected with sensors and the systems of the car, and far off — with a management system for vehicle fleet. The functionality of a system can be separated into three categories: security, operation, target use (logistics).

Security

• control of finding of cars in the set zone;
• warning of unauthorized penetration into the car;
• response to blows.

Operation

• tracking of speed, style of driving, duration of finding of the driver driving;
• payment of the parking;
• informing on the sharp accelerations and braking increasing fuel consumption and risk of road accident;
• the remote diagnostics of faults allowing to avoid expensive repair afterwards;
• reminder to the driver about need of refueling and a visit to the dealer for the next TO.

Target use

• tracking of location of the car in the remote mode;
• control of observance of a route;
• control of car mileage.

Reporting

Feature of Ford Telematics service is flexible configuration of unloading of data for the reporting and ability to integrate with third-party management systems for vehicle fleet. Data of telemetry can arrive to the user in the form of regular reports or be transferred in a type of separate digits for integration into other formats of reporting documents. Thus, at replenishment of vehicle fleet by cars with Ford Telematics service the client can continue to use already available solution, having integrated into it a system from Ford Sollers.

Integration

The deep integration of a telemetric system with the systems of the car conforming to the quality standards and safety of Ford will allow owners and heads of vehicle fleets to optimize work of the park and to increase safety of transportations.

2017: Announcement

On August 29, 2017 the Ford Sollers company announced the product for corporate clients of Ford Telematics which is safely integrated with the systems of the car and enjoying support and a guarantee of the producer. At the first stage new service will be offered as an option for the Ford Transit light commercial vehicles.

Ford Transit

The Ford Telematics service represents the special equipment installed on the car and also the software providing flexibly configured tools for collecting and information analysis. Telemetric information can be transferred as in the form of regular reports, and separate data for integration into other formats of reporting documents.

Development of own telemetric service is a part of the development strategy Ford Sollers in a segment of corporate sales and commercial transport.
