Software-Defined Network Security is security environment for programmatically the defined networks.
On September 8, 2015 the Fortinet company announced the representation of a security system which is coming on September 23-25, 2015 programmatically of the defined networks (Software-Defined Network Security-SDNS).
Conceptual representation of a framework of SDN Security, 2015
The security system means the developed protection against threats in the environment of DPC. Wednesday provides clear understanding of comprehensive approach to implementation of a security system in DPC and provides an expanded integration framework with partners: HP, Ixia, PLUMgrid, Pluribus Networks, Extreme Networks and NTT. Security in the environment of SDN sets new standards of network security at the modern enterprise where DPCs were completely modified thanks to technologies of virtualization, cloud computing and programmatically the defined networks.
The environment of security of SDN of Fortinet company enters innovations to basic layers of a network architecture:
- Data plane is consolidation of services of security from hardware modules in logical entities, giving additional opportunities on scalability and close integration in switching factory and network flows.
- Control plane is management and automation of processing of security policies with adaptive load distribution for an exception of delays at security and compliances to requirements in dynamic environments.
- Management plane is centralized operation by security policies and events of physical and virtual applications, private and public clouds on all infrastructure for ensuring complex security.
According to developers, in IT market there will be no single SDN standard platform which will be used by the enterprises and service providers therefore the company is going to develop a partner ecosystem for support of the different SDN platforms using own and open interfaces of application programming (API).
