GMCS: Electronic form

In development of the company - mobile application for tablet computers - GMCS: The electronic form, it is intended for the publication and collection of data on difficult products (aircraft, marine and railway transport).

Specific Features

To producers of products the application will help to systematize and automate processes of formation, providing to the customer and updating of the electronic version of the form of a product. For the operator the application automates processes of management of up-to-date information about a product: access to data on a product and its resources, registration of an operating time, replacements of units, failures and deviations in work of a product and its components.

Data sources

Source of data on a product for a prototype of mobile application selects the ERP system of Oracle E-Business Suite, including the specialized MRO solution – Oracle cMRO (Oracle Complex Maintenance Repair and Overhaul). As data source MRO or ERP systems of other software makers can be used PLM. Source selection depends on IT architecture of the customer. As a result of data processing the application creates the file which can be set by means, standard for the mobile device. For a prototype of the application the mobile platform Android as the most widespread and available to devices is selected from the protected execution.

The application is created taking into account market demands of operation of the aircraft equipment, requirements of the Russian and international standards in the field of formation of electronic documents, software development and data protection.

Functionality

Basic functions of a prototype of mobile application:

• configuration management of products (hierarchical representation of structure of the aircraft
• display of data on a product and its characteristics, search in parameters, formation of notes)
• creation and display of notes in work of a component
• plans of a MRO
• registration of an operating time,
• management of user rights

Terms

Completion of development of a prototype is planned in the summer of 2013, the company reported on April 10, 2013, work with partners of the company regarding mastering of the new application will follow further.
