2024: Dremark Performance

GS Labs on December 3, 2024 introduced the DREMARK digital content protection service, which allows copyright holders to identify illegal content in video hosting and social networks.

The watermark embedding method implemented within DREMARK is the result of GS Labs' own research and a fundamentally new coding tactic. The solution is based on Watermarking technology, which consists in the introduction of digital signs into multimedia files to protect copyright. The GS Labs protection service adds an invisible label (for example, the identifier of the user who gained access) to the content, from which you can subsequently determine the source of the "leak." Moreover, it is embedded in such a way that it is saved after transcoding the file.

The main customers for DREMARK technology will be content distribution platforms and training courses, including university ones. Another possible example of use is to determine the source of the transfer of information about the private life of a citizen. Thus, the protection of digital content can be obtained by city video surveillance cameras, access to the archive of which is limited by law. If records from them get on the Internet, you can use the DREMARK system to determine the user who was originally granted access and through whom it was further distributed.

The company noted that the product is also applicable if the user wants to make sure that a particular video is not a fake. However, for this purpose, the technology can be used as an auxiliary and only if it is not possible to use other solutions, in particular, cryptographic systems of electronic signature and confirmation. authentications

The main purpose of the DREMARK digital content protection service is to determine the end user who allowed the distribution of video content intended for him personally. It is for this reason that this product should have some success at content platforms and training courses, - explained in GS Labs.
