2024: Presentation of the transceiver chip RS-485

A RS-485-made transceiver chip GS Nanotech confirmed the Russian the origin. The developer announced this on April 26, 2024.

The chip is included in. register of Russian industrial products Ministry of Industry and Trade Specialists microelectronics of the GS Nanotech development and production center presented a popular solution: a microcircuit in a SOP8 metal polymer case.

Expanding the versions of the transceiver chip RS-485 in addition to the existing LGA case into the case SOP8 will strengthen the company's position in the market due to a larger range of devices for Russian electronics manufacturers, "said Artem Kazakov, CEO of GS Nanotech.

RS-485 transceiver chips (GSN0727Z) support half-duplex data transmission mode, are characterized by low power consumption and a high degree of protection against electrostatic charge. They have a wide scope of use: in security systems (control and access control, alarm and fire alarms), as well as in data collection and transmission systems (automated systems for commercial/technical accounting of electricity), Smart Home systems and other consumer and industrial applications.

The use of a RS-485 transceiver chip of Russian origin in electronic devices will be a noticeable competitive plus for domestic manufacturers. Russia They plan to introduce a point system for measuring instruments. The system is designed to stimulate an increase in the degree of localization and provides for an annual increase in the "pass" score for the recognition of Russian products. If the decree is adopted, industrial products, which will include GSN0727Z chips, will receive additional points and, as a result, preferences in implementation.

RS-485 chips and other chips are already produced at the facilities of the GS Nanotech enterprise in Gusev, Kaliningrad Region. The plant is part of the Technopolice GS innovation cluster. The cluster implements a full cycle of production of electronic devices: from the housing of microcircuits to the packaging of finished products.
