2022: Announcement of hip fracture fixation system

On September 1, 2022, Stryker announced the launch of a new generation of Gamma4 intramedullary nail system. The system is designed to treat stable and unstable fractures, and also has indications for bone stabilization and correction of bone deformities.

Gamma4 covers correction of bone deformations in intracapsular, trochanteric, subtrochanteric and acetabulum of femur. The system also treats both osteoporotic and osteopenic bone. The Stryker system is equipped with a Precision Pin, which reduces the likelihood of chipping by 66%. It has an updated nail design with a shortened proximal body and a beveled distal tip, as well as a pre-inserted mounting screw. Gamma4 also offers an integrated platform on the existing basic IMN set.

According to him, the developers sought to make everything easier for surgeons and better for patients. The system is equipped with a precision pin that allows doctors to control the installation of the screw, while having the usual T2 Alpha system toolkit. The toolkit is sleek, the design and geometry of the nail is improved, and the nail itself facilitates introduction, which is one of the biggest benefits that exist for September 2022 in the operating room.^[1]
