2021: More than 10 million transport cards
On March 10, 2022, the Golden Crown company, which develops automated fare systems under the Electronic Travel brand, announced that it had summed up the development for 2021. In 2021, 2.1 billion trips were registered in the system, and the number of existing transport cards in the system exceeded 10 million units.
Regions covered by the E-Travel Project for the year
- Lipetsk and Lipetsk region. In January 2021, a public transport payment system, Electronic Travel, was introduced in Lipetsk and the Lipetsk Region. More than 1200 vehicles received current equipment for cashless fare. To serve passengers, common citizen transport cards and social (preferential) transport cards have been issued for children from large families and honorary residents of the city.
- Republic of Adygea. At the beginning of 2021, the project also started in the Republic of Adygea. The operator of the project was the operator of the RUSH Hour system, which is part of the Kuban Electronic Ticket Group of Companies. The Krasnodar system is connected to the transport of the city Maykop and suburban routes. In total, there are about 260 sides, of which 30 trolleybuses of the Trolleybus Control, as well as small-capacity commercial vehicles. The system provides calculation, in cash as well as bank cards devices supporting the technology. NFC
- Chita. In June 2021, the Electronic Passage fare payment system began to operate on the routes of the Chita Trolleybus Administration. In December 2021, municipal buses of the city were connected to the system. When paying for travel on transport cards, discounts are provided from the current tariff, depending on the number of trips during the calendar month.
- Ulyanovsk. The implementation of a pilot project on commercial transport of the city began. The possibility of recording travel for cash, payment of travel on bank cards has been implemented.
- Karaganda (Republic of Kazakhstan). In December 2021 under the ONAY brand! a project was launched in Karaganda. This is the second city in Kazakhstan, where a system based on the Golden Crown software operates. First ONAY project! was launched in 2016 in the southern capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty. Karaganda unified transport cards are also accepted in Almaty. On March 10, 2022 to the ONAY system! 648 vehicles are already connected in Karaganda.
Integration projects
At the end of 2020, the Golden Crown presented a transport roaming project that allows you to use the transport card of the "home" region to pay for travel in the "guest" region. According to the results of 2021, 7 cities joined the Transport Roaming service: Biysk, Gorno-Altaysk, Blagoveshchensk, Krasnodar, Magadan, Orenburg, Elista.
Also last year, the Golden Crown and Convenient Route announced the integration of large transport systems. The implementation of the project will allow organizing a single ecosystem for servicing transport cards issued in 62 regions of the Russian Federation.
Self-Service Technologies
Golden Crown continues to work on improving the accessibility of the transport environment and optimizing payment schemes for public transport. One such tool is a contactless passenger service scheme.
In Lipetsk, the transition of 100% of urban passenger transport (850 sides) to a contactless passenger service scheme was completed. In Cherepovets, during 2021, more than 80% (140 boards) of transport switched to a contactless passenger service scheme.
The mass launch of transport with a contactless scheme in 2021 occurred in Perm (480 boards), Ufa (200 boards), Kemerovo (100 boards), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (70 boards), Novosibirsk also joins this list, where all buses supplied to the fleets are already equipped with contactless equipment. Dozens of buses, trolleybuses and trams worked with unconductive equipment in Syktyvkar.
Also in 2021, contactless equipment was tested in the transport of Krasnodar, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Rostov-on-Don, Arkhangelsk, Khabarovsk, Chita and other cities.
In general, in 2021, in the regions with the Electronic Travel system, more than 2,000 units of transport switched to a contactless passenger service scheme, which transported more than 73 million passengers last year. It is important to note that the use of the contactless scheme is part of the global process of moving the work of carriers to gross contracts.
"The past year for the Electronic Travel System has become a time of intensive development. We grew both technologically and geographically, increased our competencies and worked hard to solve the strategic problem - the creation of a single "barrier-free" ecosystem of settlements in public transport in Russia. Together with colleagues in the industry, we will continue this work in 2022, "- says Alexander Grishin, head of the Transportation Cards, Golden Crown product line. |
2020: Implementation of transport roaming
December 23, 2020 CFT announced that "" in Golden Crown Russia implemented the project. transport roaming
On December 21, 2020, the first trips made as part of the Transport Roaming project were registered in the Electronic Travel Card system, developed by ZAO Zolotaya Korona. The technology provides mutual reception of transport maps of different regions of the Russian Federation. The first two cities united by transport roaming were Blagoveshchensk and Magadan.
Transport roaming as part of a pilot project was launched in the Far East. Residents of Blagoveshchensk and Magadan can now pay for public transport in both cities using transport cards of their region.
Transport roaming is designed to increase the availability of travel by public transport, makes it possible to use one transport card in all regions, wherever you go. The fare at the same time corresponds to the tariffs of the region in which the calculation takes place.
Transport roaming is an important stage in the development of a single transport ecosystem in Russia, the first step to the multimodality of public transport and the equal availability of all types of transport services. Our system for December 2020 is operating in 37 regions, and we expect to scale this project by launching it in each of them. Our system is based on the Open technology, which means that in addition to our own regions of presence, we have the opportunity to integrate with any systems that operate throughout our large country, "says Alexander Grishin, head of the Transport and Social Cards Directorate, Zolotaya Korona CJSC. |
2019:9 million transport cards (+ 18.5% by 2018 year)
In the Electronic Travel System, 9 million active transport cards were registered (+ 18.5% by 2018), for which 1.6 billion trips were made (+ 23%). At the end of the year, the Electronic Travel System operates in 36 regions of Russia, as well as in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
New regions
The Golden Crown technologies in transport in 2019 began to use 10 new regions of the Russian Federation. The industrial operation of the Electronic Travel system with the possibility of servicing transport, social and contactless bank cards began in Bryansk, Kostroma, Nalchik, Cherkessk, Nizhny Tagil, Petrozavodsk, Smolensk, Cherepovets, Perm and Ufa.
The implementation of these projects made it possible to provide a range of calculation tools for passengers: contactless bank and transport cards, devices with support for mobile payment services (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) and other media - AIRTAG bracelets, etc.
Cloud Fiscal
One of the main challenges of the past year was the bringing of technologies for servicing cashless payments in transport in accordance with law 54-FZ on cash registers. The technology provides information exchange through the cloud platform and allows a passenger paying for travel in a convenient way (card, gadget, cash) to receive a fiscal check using online services, using an individual identifier on an operating check issued by the terminal (QR code or alphanumeric code).
This technology has already been introduced by the Golden Crown in 18 regions of Russia and has reduced the costs of transport enterprises for the modernization of equipment, leaving transport terminals that have already shown themselves to be reliable. Thanks to cloud financialization, carriers were able to quickly rebuild to work according to a new scheme consistent with the legislation: information on all trips taken into account in transport is transferred to the Federal Tax Service.
Social travel cards on Mir cards
An important event of 2019 was the introduction in public transport in Gorno-Altaysk of the country's first system of accounting for preferential trips on travel tickets on contactless bank cards "Mir." To use Mir cards as a travel ticket, beneficiaries only need to contact the social assistance department to register their bank card as a social one.
2018: 7.6 million transport cards (+ 22.5% by 2017)
According to data at the end of 2018, 7.6 million transport cards were registered in the Electronic Travel system (+ 22.5% by 2017), over 1.3 billion trips were made (+ 44% by 2017). Golden Crown technologies operate in passenger transport in 28 cities and regions of the Russian Federation, as well as in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2018, the Golden Crown transport cards appeared in new cities: Veliky Novgorod, Syktyvkar, Tambov, Ukhta. Projects were implemented in the Far East: an automated travel payment and accounting system appeared in Vladivostok, Yelizovo, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. These projects were implemented by the Golden Crown in partnership with Sberbank PJSC and made it possible to provide passengers with the widest range of settlement tools: contactless bank cards, electronic transport cards, devices with support for mobile payment services (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) and other media: AIRTAG bracelets, etc.
Supporting the current trend of providing a platform from the cloud (PaaS, Platform as a Service), the Golden Crown is introducing the Electronic Travel system in new regions using online technologies. This approach allows operators and carriers to flexibly set tariff options, replenish transport cards and sell tickets for travel online, as well as launch such types of trips as "network" - with a special transfer rate that gives a discount on second and subsequent trips up to 100%.
With the launch in June 2018 of single online transport cards in Novosibirsk, the process of modernizing systems in the already existing regions of the presence of the Electronic Travel System transport system began, providing for the issuance of cards of a new model and the replacement of carrier equipment with modern validators supporting online technologies.
2017: Work in 16 regions of Russia
Based on the results of cooperation between the state and private companies, the System operates in 16 regions of the country, uniting regional and city administrations, more than 190 transport enterprises of various forms of ownership, 8.3 thousand units of vehicles. Every day, more than 2 million users pay for travel on transport cards used under the Electronic Travel System, making about 32 million trips per month.
The transport automation system is the financial basis for building an intelligent transport system, as it helps increase the income of the transport enterprise, and also allows you to accumulate funds and make cash flows transparent. Cashless fare allows you to increase the level of service for citizens in public transport, make the payment process more comfortable, which means to form a positive image of transport enterprises, and increase its attractiveness for users of personal vehicles.
Alexander Grishin, head of the Department of Transport and Social Maps of the Golden Crown RPS, noted in his speech: "The development of an intelligent transport system (ITS) throughout the country can be carried out only with an effective dialogue between the state and private companies ready to invest in the development of existing systems. Such cooperation should be supported by a strong regulatory framework and coordination of work on the development of automated fare systems, which are the financial basis for the emergence of ITS, as well as a state program to support such implementations in the regions. "
The Electronic Travel System operates in such regions as the Orenburg, Yaroslavl, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Amur Regions, Altai Republic, cities, Samara,, Krasnodar,, and Kemerovo Novokuznetsk. In Biysk Pskov Birobidzhan partnership with JSC "" and PJSC UEC"" Sberbank successfully implemented projects in the Moscow, Tula, Oryol and Astrakhan regions. More than 1 billion trips are registered in the system annually. More than 20,000 vehicles are connected to the system, more than 6 million transport cards have been issued during the project.
