Google Chat is the messenger expected sending the SMS and MMS and allowing a message group correspondence to create images, video and voice messages.

As it became known in November, 2014, in Google Play the Chat messenger is available now.
Unlike Hangouts which has advanced functionality Chat is the simple application which is carrying out one specific objective — work with the SMS and MMS. In other words, Chat works with Sms, and Hangouts - with all the rest.
Specific Features:
- opportunity without leaving dialog to do a photo, audio or video;
- the search in contacts and messages which is built in the program;
- an opportunity to select from settings on what messages of users to notify;
- an opportunity to disconnect in settings notifications on messages.
- an opportunity to block messages from a certain contact.
"Chat" is developed especially for Lollipop, and issued in Material Design style. Messages from each contact are selected in the color that is especially pleasant if the user decides to create group correspondence. Also there are sets of smilies, archiving of messages and other opportunities.[1]
