2022: Helix Express Network Launch
The Helix network of medical laboratories will invest 5 billion rubles in the development of test points without doctors. The general director of the company, Yuri Andreychuk, told reporters about this on August 23, 2022.
We are talking about the Helix Express service. There you can order tests and pay for them online in the mobile application. After that, biomaterial containers can be obtained by QR code in the nearest labomat. There you also need to place a container with biomaterial, which the client can collect at home himself according to the instructions - or upon contacting the treatment room. Inside the labomat there is a thermal container to store samples at the desired temperature.
The company's couriers will take biomaterial from labomats every two hours, which will halve the time for obtaining research results, the company expects. Potentially, labomats will allow accepting up to 1.9 thousand items of research.
The company is considering the possibility of participation of the labomat service in the compulsory medical insurance system. This will speed up the analysis and improve the quality of services provided in state medical institutions, said Daria Goryakina, deputy general director of Helix.
The Helix Express service as part of the pilot stage by August 23, 2022 was launched in St. Petersburg, so far in the company's branches themselves. By the end of 2022, 30 labomats will be installed in the northern capital, the company is negotiating this with pharmacy chains, banks and medical institutions.
By the end of 2025, Helix hopes to increase the number of labomats to 3 thousand.. So, by the end of 2023, the second stage of the project provides for the installation of 320 labomats in both capitals, and by July 2024, another 480 labomats are planned to appear in cities with a population of one million. Next, Helix scales the project to other settlements of the country. It is planned to install labomats in the halls of medical institutions, pharmacies, shopping centers, airports and other premises with which appropriate agreements will be reached.[1]
