Hikvision has released the second generation of ColorVu cameras, featured in the 2xx7G2 series of hardware with an advanced set of intelligent security features for small and medium-sized businesses. This became known on October 6, 2020. This generation of ColorVu cameras supports Hikvision's proprietary technologies - ColorVu and AcuSense. Using them, the cameras provide not only a color image in 24/7 mode, but also are able to filter false alarms and classify targets into a "person/vehicle," using Deep Learning algorithms to increase the accuracy of operation.

With the help of advanced lenses with a large aperture F1.0 and high-performance matrices, Hikvision engineers were able to increase the sensitivity of the generation of ColorVu cameras to 0.0005 lux. At the same time, a high level of photosensitivity is maintained even in high-resolution devices, so the 2xx7G2 series cameras do well to recognize parts in conditions of insufficient lighting. 4 MP cameras are also equipped with improved 130 dB WDR functions and unblinded LED lighting up to 60 meters.

The ColorVu camera series uses deep learning algorithms to accurately classify targets according to human/vehicle types, as well as to reduce the number of false alarms caused by non-target objects (small animals, foliage movement, precipitation, etc.). The combination of two technologies - ColorVu and AcuSense - provides color display of key elements of the image, accurate detection and recognition of objects in difficult lighting conditions or the absence of light sources.
