IBS in partnership with the leading solution providers for the medical organizations adapted the medical information systems (MIS) which are already presented at the market for work in the Infrastructure as a Service model (IaaS) based on data centers of IBS DataFort company.
One of the main reasons constraining development of MIS in the Russian clinics and hospitals is a large volume of necessary initial investments and time expenditure on implementation and adaptation. Receiving information services on the IaaS model will allow medical institutions to reduce capital expenditure by implementation of modern IT tools in daily activity and to reduce implementation risks.
Ready-made solutions were for the first time presented at the 20th international exhibition "Health Care of 2010" which took place at the beginning of December, 2010 and attracted a keen interest among representatives of treatment and prevention facilities.
The solutions developed by IBS company together with companies IBS DataFort, AKSIMED and the Rate-AC1 are the cornerstone of new services. Information services on the basis of two systems are at the moment offered:
- The medical information system AKSi-clinic providing maintaining electronic clinical records of patients (electronic medical records) and
- The system of the remote centralized storage of medical graphic data (PACS) which is responsible for work with images (medical data, laboratory researches, medical images) of high capacity.
Based on the provided information services medical institutions can carry out planning of medical actions taking into account a status and employment of personnel, offices, bed fund and the medical equipment. For doctors-diagnosticians the uniform workplace integrating functions of work with information on the patient, the clinical record, results of researches (including work with medical images) and other necessary information is represented.
Functioning of a system is provided due to use of the separated computing powers of data centers of IBS DataFort and also providing in lease of the necessary server hardware and jobs of medical personnel. Depending on needs of the customer, services in outsourcing of technical support of MIS and also separate transactions of the center of addresses (Call Center) can be offered.
At the request of the customer a transfer by MIS which is already operated or assumed to implementation on the IaaS model can be made. It is in the long term supposed to expand a line of the partner solutions including provided according to the SaaS model (Software as a Service).
Expansion of basic functionality of the application software is executed by specialists of the IBS company which is the member of the international organization of Health Level 7 International (HL7). HL7 is engaged in development of the standard of exchange of clinical and administrative data between medical computer applications and provides to the members access to the last developments in the field of information exchange and integration of MIS.
