The company GoldenSIM in partnership with ABBYY also VisionLabs developed mobile application ID.Abonent which allows to register far off SIM cards in network telecom operators. The solution using technologies ABBYY and VisionLabs on the fly will recognize passport data, confirms the personality of the user and sends information on the new client to the operator. As noted in ABBYY, check takes place in two stages: at first the user takes a selfie, and then points the camera at the passport or other ID. The technology of ABBYY in real time takes data from documents: surname, name, series and number necessary for drawing up the standard agreement. Algoritmycomputerny sight of VisionLabs analyze a selfie of the client and compare it to the photo in the document. If check took place successfully, the user receives and signs the agreement in electronic form, and data go to a support service of the operator for registration.
As of June, 2019 it is possible to purchase the SIM card in Pyaterochka shops and to activate at any convenient time in the application. So far the service is available in 2500 shops of retail chain stores in Moscow and the Moscow region.
