The Hadoop platform which development is conducted under control of Apache fund and with active participation of Yahoo company is intended for application programming, the data working with large volumes in a distributed computing system, and is distributed under the license open source. Though originally Hadoop was focused on tasks of the web companies, now it begins to be applied also in corporate environment, noted in Informatica company.
In addition to modules for Hadoop popular relational DBMS DB2 and Oracle and analytical packets Netezza and Teradata, the modules taking data from the websites of social networks are developed for Informatica 9.1 including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
