Packet of safety features of KEMP Edge Security Pack (ESP)

One of the main advantages of KEMP Technologies — is a large number of clients from all segments of the market and different geographical regions which unrolled the balancer of loading of KEMP LoadMaster in combination with Microsoft Exchange, Lync and SharePoint. Within these solutions, Microsoft Threat Management Gateway (TMG) was a key component. One of the most important features of Forefront TMG was the fact that it suggested clients a method to publish and protect workload of servers, such as servers of client access Exchange, especially on the Internet where separation between critical infrastructure and the public Internet is especially important.

We represent LoadMaster EDGE Security Pack

The new packet of safety features of KEMP Edge Security Pack (ESP) — is intended for providing the solution network bezopasnostis by use of a line of balancers of loading of KEMP LoadMaster, for clients who published the annexes through the deployed Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) service from Microsoft earlier.

KEMP ESP will offer the following main characteristics:

Terminal point of authentication for preliminary authentication (Pre-Auth)

Clients who try to get access to virtual service to LoadMaster will have to provide information for authentication, in this case ESP will use it for check of the rights of clients to access to service. In case of success (or successful check) the client has the accessibility to service, and in case of refusal the client will be blocked, will not be provided the valid credentials yet.

Continuous registration and reports on registration of clients

When clients try to get access to service, it will be mentioned in LoadMaster as a part of ESP. It allows to improve control from the administrator.

The general registration (Single Sign On) for all virtual services

The equipment LoadMaster is intended for processing of numerous virtual services which support unique workloads. These virtual services can be united in groups of the general registration (Single Sign On). ESP will allow clients to be registered only once for the first virtual service, and then this information will be used for access to other services in the Single Sign On group. Therefore the client with access to Exchange will also have access and to SharePoint and also others to services if they are configured in the Single Sign On group.

LDAP authentication with LoadMaster in the Active Directory

The Active Directory is the standard for authentication when using products of Microsoft. LoadMaster will support the main types of communication between LoadMaster and the Active Directory.

NTLM and basic communications for authentication from the client to the equipment LoadMaster

The equipment LoadMaster with ESP will support the main types of authentication, such as Basic and NTLM — between the client and LoadMaster, providing to clients the most optimal method of authentication.

Big and small enterprises unroll a large number of the Internet focused applications for support of the compliance to constantly extending business requirements. This quickly growing number of servers should conform to requirements of scalability and reliability. First of all, access to these servers and services should be safe. With adding of ESP, KEMP LoadMaster continues to ensure safety for the Internet focused applications in the world, without Forefront TMG, and at the same time meets all requirements to multifunctionality and profitability, combining scalability with high reliability.
