2019: The vulnerability allowing to trace the user on the Internet

On August 16, 2019 it became known that vulnerability which allows to trace the user on the Internet is found in protective software of Kaspersky Lab. The researcher Ronald Eikenberg, the employee of the German edition c't paid attention to it. Vulnerabilities there was an assigned number of CVE-2019-8286. Read more here.

2017: Start of a free antivirus

In the summer of 2017 the Kaspersky company announced start of a free antivirus of Kaspersky Free Antivirus. The solution performs basic functions of protection of the PC, detecting harmful files and links.

The following functions are a part of Kaspersky Free Antivirus:

• verification of all files on the user's computer;
• verification of letters and messages in messengers on the maintenance in them of viruses and other malware;
• the web antivirus which intercepts and blocks accomplishment of scripts on the websites if they threaten security of the computer;
• protection against a phishing — an antivirus blocks the websites which steal data, issuing itself for another, entrusted resources;
• the safe screen keyboard protecting information which the user enters on the computer from interception.
