Key Rostelecom

The single biometric system "Key Rostelecom" is a digital platform for remote biometric identification which allows to provide digital commercial and public services for citizens at any time and in any place.

A system is created at the initiative of the Central bank of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of digital development, communication and mass communications of the Russian Federation. Rostelecom acts as the developer and the operator of a Single biometric system.

Mobile application Key of Rostelecom identifies the person during remote receiving banking services. After the choice of service on the website or in the application of bank the user automatically passes into Key of Rostelecom, will become authorized through Gosuslugi and confirms the personality using biometrics. For this purpose it is necessary to say several digits on the camera. A system will compare biometric data – the person and a voice – to the created earlier digital image. If data match, the application gives the report about successful identification.

Start of mobile application Key of Rostelecom

On October 18, 2018 Rostelecom announced start of mobile application for remote identification of citizens – Key of Rostelecom. Through it users will confirm the personality after the choice of service in the application of bank. For October, 2018 service of remote identification through mobile application started Post Bank. Over time other banks will be connected to the application.

Start of mobile application completes creation of a basic ecosystem of access to digital services using biometrics. About 60% of Russians use smartphones and receive services in electronic form. Banks respond to the request of clients on "didzhitalization" and create additional financial services and products. "A key Rostelecom" allows to transfer process of interaction between the client and bank to "digit", for example, to open the account, to obtain the credit or to put money for a deposit without personal visit of department, without queues. Besides, a system makes available services for physically disabled people and citizens in the remote regions. "The key Rostelecom" is implemented taking into account requirements of regulators to security of biometric personal data. Use of the application will simplify to banks embedding of biometric identification and fulfillment of requirements on information security. Banks will be able to minimize costs for start of remote identification.

In Key of Rostelecom there is a card with departments of banks where it is possible to hand over biometrics. Also in the appendix it is in detail described how to create a digital image and to pass deleted identifications. In the application it is implemented demorezhy, there it is possible to get acquainted with process of biometric identification, without opening the bank account. Use demorezhimy even citizens who did not create the digital image yet can.
