Russia introduced ranks and titles in e-sports
In Russia, categories and titles for e-sports have been introduced. This was announced on June 23, 2023 by the press service of the Federation of Computer Sports (CSF) of the Russian Federation.
At the first stage, esports players performing in the Tactical Three-Dimensional Combat discipline will be able to receive sports ranks and titles in computer sports. This became possible thanks to the introduction of appropriate changes to the provision on the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification.
Competitions in which athletes can get ranks will be tournaments on the game "World of Tanks," which will be held by the Russian Computer Sports Federation (CSF of Russia) together with Lesta Games on the VK Play platform.
According to Dmitry Smith, President of the CSF of Russia, cooperation with the World of Tanks and VK Play is aimed at popularizing e-sports, developing virtual tournaments and promoting domestic developments in this area.

E-sportsmen must also comply with the norms of the game technical program on simulators - PCs and game consoles.
In addition to physical exercises, the document enshrines the need for tactical, theoretical and psychological training. Details of these parts of the training process by January 21, 2022 were not disclosed.
But the requirements for the technical equipment of the e-sportsman are indicated. This should be a computer with a tower cooler for cooling the processor, RAM of at least 16 GB, a monitor with a diagonal of at least 19 inches and a drive of at least 2 TB.
According to the document, the Ministry of Sports proposes to train e-sportsmen in 4 stages. Moreover, the age at the stage of higher sportsmanship can be from 17 years.
