2020: 500 installations since launch

On March 3, 2020 Konica Minolta reported that a series of rolled machines for printing of labels of AccurioLabel reached the next top: 500 installations since launch in 2016.

By the Konica Minolta AccurioLabel CFM it was developed for the printing houses of the small and medium size specializing in printing of labels and offers an available input on the market of high digital quality printing of the label. The machine was created taking into account growth of number of small and average circulations of labels and requirements to provide their printing in the shortest possible time. Unlike a traditional flexographic and offset printing, digital printing machines can easily and effectively process such works as printing of variable data or numbering.

Konica Minolta entered the market of machines for printing of labels in 2016 and quickly reached a boundary of 500 sold units. We promoted the general growth of the market of digital printing machines for printing of labels, having created other market of printing machines of the middle class. In 2019 we had one of the largest shares of the world market. We could reach it thanks to approval from clients of the AccurioLabel series as the answer to the current calls with which the industry of printing of labels, including the growing demand for small and average circulations and for printing faces short term of delivery. Many flekso-printing houses which used only analog printing for the first time passed to digital printing, having purchased AccurioLabel. 2019

Start in the Russian AccurioLabel 230 market

On June 14, 2019 the Konica Minolta company reported that it started in the Russian AccurioLabel 230 market – the version of the printing machine on the basis of a toner.

According to the company, externally the machine looks in the same way as the previous Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 190 model, it is developed and made in Europe in cooperation with the Danish company Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM).

Among advantages of the rolled full-color machine AccurioLabel 230 from Konica Minolta:

• Speed. The print speed makes 23.4 m/min, one may say, that it increased by 73% as the maximum speed of printing is available to the majority of types of self-adhesive papers and polymeric materials (including polypropylene, PET and synthetic paper of YUPO).
• Performance. Length of continuous printing is 1000 linear meters, the feature for switching between carriers of different width (250 and 330 mm) is also added.
• Printing the second run. This option allows AL230 to print the second run on the materials sealed by traditional analog methods. For example, printing on previously caused white color on the transparent or metallized materials, drawing the personalized information.
• Short time warming up/reduction of number of waste. Time between accomplishment of two works was reduced as the module of fixing of the image saves the working temperature within 30 minutes.
• More fine registration of images. The built-in speed sensor of the movement of a cloth allows to reduce the number of waste.

In AccurioLabel 230 the printing AccurioPress mechanism from Konica Minolta is used. The rolled machine AL230 is intended for the small and average printing houses specializing in printing of labels, printing houses of a wide profile, owners of brands, the companies on production of packaging and printing salons. AccurioLabel 230 from Konica Minolta will be on sale through channel of direct sales of the Russian division Konica Minolta Business Solutions.

AccurioLabel 230 was developed taking into account the interests of clients. And those clients with whom we already work and perspective clients who pass to digital printing well accepted the machine, they were impressed by performance, stability and the updated functions which will help them to find the profitable directions of business. I will give one example: with AccurioLabel 230 printing of four circulations on 300 m takes approximately half less time. We know that the small printing houses printing labels consider that more than 60% of their circulations can be transferred to digit and by that to release traditional analog machines for longer circulations. Passing of tests according to the BS 5609 specification

Konica Minolta announced on March 14, 2019 that the uzkorulonny label system of printing of AccurioLabel 190 successfully passed tests according to the BS 5609 specification (internationally recognized standard of Great Britain 5609 for the self-adhesive labels used in the conditions of permanent contact with sea water). Now owners of AccurioLabel 190 will be able to deliver self-adhesive labels for the goods transported by sea.

The certificate on passing of tests in the conditions of immersion in sea water (Marine Immersion certification) is received on the digital systems of printing of Konica Minolta in combination with carriers of AA449 Lasercopy PET Matt White S4700 INC — HF100 from Avery Dennison. The BS 5609 standard provides testing of both carriers of labels, and printing applied on them in difficult weather conditions and conditions of permanent contact with sea water. The printed labels should remain on site and save readability even if they spent three months in sea water, besides, tests for resistance to abrasion are provided.

Certification of self-adhesive labels for the tanks intended for transportation of oil products and chemicals according to the BS 5609 standard is obligatory according to IMDG (To the international sea code on dangerous loads) and GHS (Approved at the global level to a classification system of danger and marking of chemical products). At loss of capacity with oil products or chemicals during transportation by sea the key identification information on the label of capacity should save readability for a long time.

AccurioLabel 190 from Konica Minolta is an economic and productive system for printing of high-quality labels. Printing on rolls up to 330 mm wide, it allows to make in short terms labels at the request of 1 piece to circulation up to 1000 meters long. Besides, a system uses the toner with high rates of resistance to fading and physical impact and also providing an exclusive color scope declared in the company.

Except the uzkorulonny label AccurioLabel 190 system, certificates according to the BS 5609 specification were received by two more digital systems of printing from Konica Minolta: AccurioPress C6100 and C3080 in combination with AA449 Lasercopy carriers from Avery Dennison.

2017: Announcement of AccurioLabel 190

On September 28, 2017 the Konica Minolta company announced agreement signature about strategic partnership with the Danish company Grafisk Maskinfabrik and also officially provided the product AccurioLabel 190 — the digital printing role machine which was developed and made in Europe in cooperation with Grafisk Maskinfabrik.

The model will replace C71cf — the CFM for printing of labels of Konica Minolta, provided in 2015. AccurioLabel 190 fills a space between printing solutions of basic level and professional printing machines, is simple in use, works with a broad spectrum of carriers, allows to make products in short terms, including production of the variable label with variable data.

According to Konica Minolta, convenient AccurioLabel 190 in management differs in stability of color and printing quality, not conceding offset thanks to permission of 1200x1200 dpi. The preliminary praymirovaniye of materials is not required. Modules of unwinding and winding of a roll and also automatic system of an alignment of a cloth are included in a basic equipment.

At the Labelexpo Europe 2017 Konica Minolta exhibition showed work of AccurioLabel 190 in connection with machine for postprinting processing of the GM DC330Mini label which can be connected to the line or work independently. A system is supplemented by the software of AccurioPro Label Impose for fast descent of bands at printing of labels.

The European and Russian customers will be able to purchase the AccurioLabel 190 system, since December, 2017.
