2022: Porting Kraftway Smart Video Detector to a platform with a Baikal processor

February 1, 2022 Russian development company Kraftway Corporation PLS ", together with Astra Group of Companies Linux (), Rusbitech-Astra LLC announced that it had ported software video surveillances the Kraftway Smart Video Detector (KSVD) system to platform c. The processor Baikal project was carried out as part of the company's strategy to produce import-substituting electronic components for computer tools and software development.

During the tests, the full operability of all was confirmed functions of the KSVD video surveillance system when working on a platform with the Baikal BE-M1000 processor running the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system for Arm platforms.

Kraftway Smart Video Detector is included in [[Russian Software Registry ' domestic software]], since Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media RUSSIAN FEDERATION 2020 has been certified "Ready for Astra Linux" and is included in the list of trusted software for this operating system. KSVD, being initially a cross-platform solution, also operating under OS management and Windows Linux Ubuntu on processorsIntel platforms with and allows you to create heterogeneous distributed systems that simultaneously run video servers and workstations that operate under different operating systems and on different platforms. This feature plays a key role for customers who are gradually equipping or upgrading their video surveillance systems, providing more comfortable conditions for the introduction of modern technology.

Another feature of the system is support for map formats. It allows them to be effectively applied in situational plans at workplaces operators for video surveillance of distributed objects. Also KSVD software supports live streaming and playback video archive for authorized external systems, such as the ECXD of Moscow. The hierarchical architecture of the system makes it possible to perform vertical expansion quite easily, allowing you to scale the Kraftway Smart Video Detector without the need for additional modifications to the basic system, as well as easily adapt the software to the needs of a particular customer.

The optimization of the KSVD video surveillance system is evidenced by more than 10 years of experience in operating the product in the Gormost GBU of Moscow, in

"We understand that real security and technological independence can only be ensured by modern full-featured domestic information systems operating in an infrastructure that is based on Russian components - the Russian processor and the operating system. That is why we aim to ensure that our developments are compatible with the architecture of the Baikal processor. This will allow the company to offer organizations implementing an import substitution strategy a full-fledged solution for organizing video surveillance of both small compact and large spatially distributed objects on the domestic hardware and software base, "

Commenting on the successful completion of work on porting KSVD to a platform with a Baikal processor, said Kraftway President Alexei Kravtsov
