2023: Start of keyboard and mouse production

Yadro began manufacturing and selling keyboards and computer mice under its own Kvadra brand. This became known in September 2023.

According to CNews, information about new devices is not on the manufacturer's website, but products can be purchased in online stores. So, on Avito, the seller offers a set of mouse WS20M and keyboard WS20K for 1600 rubles. It has 30 packs of keyboards and mice on sale.

Yadro started producing keyboards and mice under its own brand

The announcement of the sale of the Kvadra mouse and keyboard can also be found on Yandex.Market, but more expensive - for 2390 rubles. It is worth noting that these devices can be purchased on at least five more little-known sites. And they cannot be found in stores of such large networks as DNS or Eldorado.

The production of keyboards and mice takes place in China, perhaps this explains their absence on the official website of the company. A representative of a Russian electronics company, in a conversation with the publication, suggested that it is not profitable for the manufacturer to publicly advertise Chinese origin in light of the import substitution strategy. Due to gaps in legislation, government agencies can now purchase Chinese devices as part of the AWS. Therefore, according to the interlocutor of CNews in the electronics market, many manufacturers use this to sell "Russian" devices manufactured in China.

Kvadra keyboards and mice are for corporate customers and are not featured on the official website, according to Yadro officials. The company did not respond to a question from reporters about the price at which the company sells the Kvadra mouse and keyboard to corporate customers. They also did not answer the question of how long such devices have been sold. The CNews article notes that mice and keyboards were declared no later than September 2022.[1]
