Legrand LCS (SCS)

LCS (Legrand Cabeling System) is a structured cabling system from Legrand.

2018: LCS3

On September 26, 2018 the Legrand company announced start of a structured cabling system of LCS3 suitable for modern multimedia networks, technologies and applications.

Fiber-optical and copper solutions (including the intelligent tool for merging of fibers, reusable connectors and a patch panel of high density), cabinets and racks (including "turnkey" solution - micro DPC of MiniCube), blocks of power distribution of PDU are presented (with a patent system prevention of accidental detachment of a fork).

As it was reported, the equipment line based on the copper cable and optical fiber – 113 types of optical cables, the copper cable LTX – ensures smooth operation in the conditions of growth of traffic of information, expansion of local computer networks, increases in data transfer rate and increase in requirements to safety of users.

High data transfer rate and energy efficiency of a system allow to apply LCS3 in solutions both for local networks (LAN), and for the multifunction data processing centers (DPC). Additional benefit of a system is use of connectors of generation of RJ45 of high density and copper a patch panels of high density with the system of installation and service. The optimal organization of cables in cabinets and racks, the convenience of assembly and a wide choice of component parts will provide the high performance and durability of operation of the equipment.

The scalability of LCS3 system is provided by optical shelves of the next generation which are easy for mounting and conveniently to service. Feature of a product – modular optical regiments with cartridges which provide a possibility of joint installation of copper and optical cartridges and promote fast fixing and extraction from a cabinet/rack. With start of LCS3 the Legrand company for the first time had optical regiments high (96 LC ports) and ultrahigh (144 LC ports) density.

The solution based on the copper cable LCS3 of category 8 is from cables, a patch cords, a patch panels and the connectors installed without tools and providing data transmission at a speed up to 40 Gbps. In advanced energy efficient cabinets with high power capacity the system of distribution of air flows allowing to reduce considerably electricity consumption is used. Besides, the server, telecommunication and wall cabinets which are logging in LCS3 maintain loading to 1500 kg (wall 100 kg). A variety of the patented solutions of Legrand, including a building cassette block system and connectors of the next generation of high density is provided to LCS3. The PoE technology allows to transfer on the information Ethernet cable a power supply for such devices as Wi-Fi access points, etc. Kabel allows to transfer data and a power supply for all peripheral devices.^[1]

2009: LCS2

In 2009 the Legrand company released LCS2 cable system.

2003: Release of SCS

In 2003 the Legrand company presented the first solution SCS – LCS (Legrand Cabeling System).
