2017: Updating of blocks of power distribution (PDU)

The Legrand group provided a new series of blocks of power distribution (PDU) in June, 2017. A new series includes a wide choice of solutions for different tasks. All equipment differs in simplicity of installation and convenience of operation.

The lineup includes horizontal and vertical PDU and also solutions both for single-phase, and for three-phase networks. For the first time in assortment of Legrand there were power distribution blocks for sockets conforming to national and international standards (C13, C19, the German standard), specified in the company.

For small IT systems with the small number of the equipment horizontal PDU 10' 1U are created. They are an optimal solution for installation on small businesses and also in small administrative agencies.

When choosing blocks of distribution for DPC, server premises and machine halls where the equipment is installed with a small density, devices 19 will suit' to PDU 1U. They are equipped with screwless fastening that facilitates their installation on cabinet rails. All devices can be installed as it is horizontal, and vertically.

For DPC and server premises where reliability to distribution of energy is crucial, and all equipment is installed with a high density, Zero-U PDU are intended. Non-standard solutions which can be implemented to order based on PDU Zero-U and 19" by PDU 1U will also be interesting to engineers of DPC, consider in the company.

At the nomenclature there is also empty block of power distribution which the user can fill with functions of a series of the electroinstallation products Mosaic necessary for it. Models on 8 and 16 modules are available. Thus it is possible to find in a new series and even to create the necessary solution on power distribution.

Among features of the new PDU series in the company called: the fork interlocking system for C13 and C19 sockets, compatible to forks of C14 and C20 — is prevented by accidental detachment of cords of a power supply and guarantees security, is easily noticeable thanks to orange buttons (the fork of a cord is inserted into the socket by one smooth movement, after accession the fork is automatically blocked and it cannot be taken, at the same time it is easy to release it from the socket simple clicking of the button); access lock to sockets using blocking stubs, for an unblocking the special key is necessary — stubs are available to sockets of the German standard and C13, C19; a possibility of protection against pulse overvoltage without interruption of a power supply of the equipment thanks to the removable module UZIP — it is supplied with the LED indicator indicating replacements of the module the need; screwless fastening of vertical PDU Zero-U — is used for attaching of vertical PDU in openings of a mounting frame by simple snapping; a possibility of identification of a chain using color coding which is clearly visible in front and sideways group of sockets (color matches the color of the time cut-out protecting this chain.); the cable entry turning on 330 ° at vertical PDU Zero-U — allows to locate a cable so that it did not interfere with access to the equipment in a cabinet.
