2021: Announcement of "Celsium" portable sensor for indoor microclimate monitoring
In April 2021, MTS began selling the first device of its own production. We are talking about a portable sensor designed to monitor the microclimate in the room. The product was called Celsium.
It controls the temperature, humidity, pressure and air quality in the room: the presence of harmful impurities and volatile organic compounds from paints, varnishes, cleaning products, office equipment, cooking.
The sensor "takes" readings and transmits them to the cloud platform every 10 minutes, and also sends notifications of deviation of indicators from the established norm.
The device will allow retailers, the food and pharmaceutical industries to monitor the conditions for storing and transporting goods, and in case of damage to the goods due to the fault of the contractor, to file financial claims under the storage contract based on the data of the device, according to MTS.
The company also gave an example using technology in educational institutions. Schools, kindergartens and colleges can use the sensor to monitor the temperature and humidity in the room for compliance with the requirements of SanPIN and the standards established by the Department of Education of the subject of the Russian Federation. This avoids problems with uneven heating of rooms, when in some rooms it is cold and in others it is hot.
The device is connected to an energy-efficient NB-IoT network and can work without replacing the battery for two years. It is also noted that the device does not require installation work or special skills for installation: thanks to this, it can be used in premises where work with dust formation is prohibited, for example, in server or museums.
A set of equipment costs 7,000 rubles - the device itself, the SIM chip NB-IoT and access to the platform are designed for two years.[1]
