2019: Announcement of the solution "Smart Housing and Public Utilities"
On July 17, 2019 the MegaFon company presented own solution "Smart Housing and Public Utilities" developed within the concept of Internet of Things and using the standard of narrowband access NB-IoT. This product is aimed at solving of tasks of electricity providers, thermal energy, water utilities, management companies and builders of the real estate, giving a wide range of possibilities on remote control of energy resources.
According to the company, the complete solution "Smart Housing and Public Utilities" integrates in the structure an automated system of collecting and data transmission from devices of utility accounting, the web application for users, volume library of drivers for different models of digital instruments of accounting and ample opportunities of integration with external systems. The solution allows to make accounting and control of consumption of electricity, heat, gas and water. In addition to a system it is possible to connect all range of fire and security sensors such as sensors of a leakage, movement, opening, etc. When using the corresponding models of counters, the solution Megafon allows to program and manage metering devices also remotely.
Data transmission is performed on NB-IoT technology. It differs in small amounts of data exchange, an opportunity to use autonomous a power supply and to manage flexibly energy consumption of devices. It is possible to connect up to 80 thousand IoT-devices to one base station that in tens of times exceeds possibilities of the existing standards of mobile communication. The batteries installed in counters will work without recharge up to 10 years that will reduce costs on replacement of batteries. Technology data of devices are stored in the protected cloud storage and are available to the user via the web interface and mobile application.
For July, 2019 Smart housing and public utilities can be integrated with widespread 1C systems and GIS of housing and public utilities. It provides automatic data acquisition without bypass of apartments by employees and formation on its basis of accurate balance of resource consumption. At the same time inhabitants are exempted from need of data transmission of housing and public utilities for the manual mode and pay resources for the actual consumption.
