Megacampus is a mobile app for iOS and Android that offers a fundamentally different learning algorithm based on user behavior in the online space. The platform takes into account that a person spends an average of 8-9 hours online, and most of this time is occupied by flipping tape and correspondence in instant messengers. Based on this, the creators of the platform abandoned the usual format of long online lessons in favor of the micro learning concept, when a person with a minimum number of iterations receives the maximum result.
2021: Appearance of subscription courses
The Russian educational social network Megacampus launched a global update that will allow users to not only listen to audio broadcasts, but also take subscription courses, as well as create their own. The key role in training at Megacampus will be played by micro- and mobile learning courses from experts and star speakers, and users will be able to try the format of joint training: arrange lectures and discussions, prepare for thesis and receive support from 'fellow students'. This was announced by the developer on November 10, 2021.
First of all, the update will affect the training process. Audio broadcasts, which used to form the bulk of the content, will now become an auxiliary tool. Their place will be taken by author's expert courses sold by subscription. Courses can be paid separately or subscribed to topics of interest.
The platform is distinguished by simple functionality for authors, which helps transform expertise into an educational course, and platform methodologists will help them in this.
Users will have the opportunity to create communities on the principle of the Ivy League, within the framework of which they will jointly perform practical tasks and prepare for the delivery of theses. On the platform, users also expect a debate with famous people on various topics.
{{quote 'We immediately chose the path of the mobile application, as practice shows that 80% of people now learn through a mobile phone. The main content of the platform is expert and competing content. As a result, the lessons are similar to posts on a social network in order to give a person the format to which he is already used, "said Grigory Avetov, CEO and co-founder Megacampus. }}
