2021: Card Issue

At the end of December 2021, Russia issued the world's first bank card with a built-in sim card. We are talking about a joint product of Alfa Bank and VimpelCom, called the United Card.

The SIM card is located inside the credit card, so that the client simultaneously gets access to two separate products: mobile communication and banking services.

Under the terms of the product, the United Card makes it possible to use the VimpelCom communication services for the first 100 days for free, the SIM provides for the "Close People 2" tariff with the ability to set up auto payment from a credit card account.

Also, the United Card works as an Alfa Bank credit card "100 days without interest" with a free first year of service and the ability to withdraw up to 300,000 rubles without a commission. In addition, when using VimpelCom services, cashback is returned to credit card users in the amount of 25% of the funds spent on them, the press service of Alfa Bank indicates.

In the United Card, we managed to combine not only the advantages of the bank and the operator for the client, but also offer a solution to reduce the amount of plastic produced, "said Daniil Pozhodny, head of the business development department at Alfa Bank's partner channel.

According to Vyacheslav Yakhin, Director of Financial Products and Services at VimpelCom, the telecom operator and Alfa-Bank, as part of the joint product, made deep technological integration, thanks to which the use of communication services and a credit card became easier and more profitable.

By the end of December 2021, the United Map is available only in St. Petersburg. To get it, you need to contact one of the sales offices of VimpelCom^[1]
