2020: Start

At the end of March, 2020 IBM, Oracle and some other the companies started the MiPasa blockchain platform which will help to collect and analyze data on COVID-19 coronavirus thanks to collection of information from different sources among which — World Health Organization, John Hopkins's University and the Center for control and prevention of diseases (CDC).

The Hacera company which specializes in creation a blockchain products of a corporate class acted as the main system developer. The Hyperledger Fabric platform is the cornerstone of innovation.

IBM, Oracle and some other the companies started the MiPasa blockchain platform which will help to collect and analyze data on COVID-19 coronavirus

MiPasa is urged to become the center of collecting of data on COVID-19, the analysis and data validation from the infection centers. It will help to get access to reliable information, to supplement it with new data on distribution and results of testing of vaccine. As a result it will help to create new analytical tools. The platform will be free for users.

We began brainstorming regarding collecting, providing and use of the verified information on a virus — the technical director of IBM Blockchain Hary Singh says, commenting on participation of the company in the MiPasa project. — We did not try to implement specially a blockchain in this solution, but thought that we need to reproduce data, to have the structured sources and to guarantee impossibility of falsifications.

One of scenarios use of MiPasa is called creation of cards with indication of location of the infected people who will announce on the condition of anonymity the disease. It will allow people to learn about possible contacts with infected and to identify those who had high risks to catch an infection that then to carry out diagnostics.

Partners expect to involve researchers in the field of statistics to development of the project, probability theory, machine learning and artificial intelligence to help to analyze data.[1]
