2018: Milestone XProtect + with function of the DLNA server

On August 2, 2018 the company "ARMO-Systems" submitted the next version of software for IP-video surveillances Milestone XProtect + with the DLNA-function servers.

According to the statement of representatives of ARMO-Systems company, in the updated software of XProtect + 2018 Milestone Systems companies, intended for creation and management of multibrand video surveillance systems of different scale, there was an additional functionality and the existing services were improved.

Video surveillance systems based on Milestone XProtect software +

Performance improvement of a video surveillance system based on Milestone XProtect software + 2018, as acting, and organized from scratch, thanks to changes, it is possible to implement at the hardware level. For this purpose on the PC where the modules Smart Client and Smart Wall of the Milestone Systems software product are installed, it is required to install one or several video cards NVIDIA. Graphics adapters of these devices will undertake decoding of video flows, will unload the central processor PC and will allow to display more channels of video with the high permission and frame rate. Similar upgrade of servers of record and mobile servers will give increase in number of the serviced cameras in a system, noted in ARMO-Systems.

According to information provided by the developer, the DLNA technology (Digital Living Network Alliance) implemented in all Milestone XProtect+ software packages provides an output of images from surveillance cameras directly on the TVs which are within a single local network with the server. Possibilities of the updated software product include an option of cyclic display of video from several cameras on the big screen which will be useful, for example, to large shopping centers and hypermarkets. In this case the personnel from cameras on which buyers see that an object is under video surveillance is brought to the TV placed in a trading floor.

Possibilities of the Smart Map application (the intelligent card of an object) for programs of top levels Milestone XProtect Expert/Corporate are expanded. On the card of an object it is possible to add the scheme of buildings taking into account their number of storeys: each floor on the card represents a separate layer with display of the equipment (cameras, video recorders) placed on it. Thanks to it the operator will be able to get access to video from any surveillance camera through the single interface. Such functionality of Milestone will be demanded for geographically distributed objects and the Safe City system, consider in ARMO-Systems.

In ARMO-Systems noted that installation of a one-server video surveillance system is accelerated. In total for half an hour it is possible to create the full-function video system on the platform of the free 8-channel version of software Milestone XProtect Essential + or the licensed XProtect Express + with number of channels to 48. Changes concerned also a set of the provided drivers for installation and automatic detection of IP devices in networks which Milestone Systems delivers in two packets. The main packet contains relevant drivers, and additional — archive with the drivers released till 2014. Thanks to it, the administrator of software can select loading only of that packet which is required to it.

In upgraded version of the products Milestone XProtect + two types of the masks hiding private areas in a frame (windows of apartment houses, keyboards of ATMs, etc.) which are functionally subdivided into permanent and removable are implemented. At the same time permanent masks remain also at broadcast of video, and at its record, and the second if necessary can be removed by the user having the appropriate rights of access. The additional benefit of removable masks consists that they, will close private zones from viewing, but for image analysis systems, for example, of detection of the movement, will "be transparent", specified in ARMO-Systems.

For August 2, 2018 upgraded version of software of XProtect + is available to the order.

2013: More than 100 thousand clients worldwide

For December, 2013 the solution Milestone XProtect is used by more than 100 thousand clients worldwide. This software is based on an open architecture that provides its compatibility about more than 2 thousand devices from 150 producers. The open standards put in the platform allow to provide its seamless integration with analytical and other business solutions.
