2020: Ability to retrospectively search for potentially infected coronavirus
On March 20, 2020, the CST group announced that its experts had transformed the Vizier biometric facial recognition system to implement the most popular cases in the epidemiological situation.
The introduction of face recognition as part of the Safe City program allows you to retrospectively search for potentially infected people.
{{quote 'author = Andrey Khrulev comments, Director for Business Development of the Direction of Biometric Systems of the MDG Group of Companies The case of face recognition in masks to monitor compliance with the isolation regime coronavirus is a challenge, but thanks to the scale of the projects implemented by the CST Group, it is worked out and ready: our system has already proven its effectiveness in projects throughout the country - at 14 sport facilities and 24 facilities transport it provides security, 5 cities use it for implementation, APK "Safe City" including the second largest city. Russia St. Petersburg Initially, when creating our product, we took into account local features: difficult weather conditions, where people wear glasses, hoods, high collars; bad weather, low light level and viewing angle, wide range of angles. In this sense, the mask is just one of the specific conditions for which our biometric system is ready: recognition is based on, neural network algorithm which analyzes the available part of the face, and does not compare the location of key "points." Thus, the overlap of the face up to 70% is an essential, but not blocking factor in the operation of the system. In addition, when using our solution, you can not only find a person in quarantine, but also turn to the archive of videos or photos, determine where this person has been and with whom he crossed paths, which will help identify potentially infected people, and therefore quickly manage the spread of the virus. The systems that we created to ensure security can also be used to combat coronavirus, facial recognition can be used as a ready-made analytical tool, with the ability to delimit lists, provide data protection and divide flows, and information thanks to our experience integration in existing systems - video surveillances quickly, in appropriate protection circuits and without fundamental costs. financial }}
In a pandemic, technological solutions that minimize direct contacts and contacts become relevant: this is how the facial recognition system can be used in biometric MCDS (access control system) and introduced in schools, fitness centers, business centers, strategic state facilities: passing through the face does not require contact, which means reduces the risk of infection. In the context of switching to a remote mode of operation, the biometric MCDS allows you to correctly configure the delimitation of access rights and be sure that people whose access is prohibited will not penetrate your object. The introduction of such a solution at transport facilities at airports will allow scanning a ticket and passenger's face without the participation of an airport employee.
Previously, the feasibility of such implementations was justified by security considerations (identification and non-admission of violators), then - by the level of comfort (seamless, fast passage), and in modern reality the focus again shifts towards safety, but already in relation to health saving, minimizing contacts during the current epidemic situation. Modern technologies allow us to implement this, and we will continue to improve our products, contributing to the stabilization of the current situation in the world, comments Dmitry Dyrmovsky, CEO of the CST Group of Companies

Airport Passenger Safety and Comfort Solution
On February 7, 2019, the company CST"" presented a comprehensive solution for ensuring safety and comfort of passengers at the airport based on its own biometric system face recognition. " Vizier The goal of the CST system is to ensure security, accelerated registration, inspection and boarding without presentation passports and tickets. Along the entire path of the passenger's movement, she can "recognize" the passenger by face, "recognize" him at the reception, open the aisles to the clean area, to the high-comfort waiting room, and provide passage through the turnstiles when leaving the landing.
" An increasing number of airports, particularly in Europe, are embracing the concept of silent airport. The idea is to reduce the noise background, for example, loud announcements for the entire airport, without compromising the timely and necessary informing of passengers. The development of technology makes it easier to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere, changing the way the airport interacts with passengers. Loud, often overlapping ads, create a feeling of fuss, forcing people to quickly leave the Duty Free zones, restaurants, cafes, playgrounds, etc., to obtain clarifying information, and it is these infrastructure facilities that can increase non-aviation revenues of airports, they should be calm and comfortable. " |
According to the CST of the concept of silent airport levels the language barrier. Even if the traveler speaks, for example, English, local emphasis and interference in the alert system can make ads illegible. In this regard, visual navigation and alerts on digital media can become an indispensable solution. Understanding this trend and improving its expertise, the CST supplemented the biometric system with the silent option.
"In essence, a photo is all that is required biometric identifier to obtain a passenger all the way, which allows him to undergo pre-flight formalities without the need to present a boarding pass every time. At the virtual passport control point, the camera compares the visitor's face with the person from the archive (biometric template), and in case of positive identifications , the person can go further. The identification procedure, at the same time, takes a few seconds., Navigation system Which "recognizes" the passenger by face, and on the tabletmonitor display/displays information about his flight number and his current location on the airport diagram. The last line of control, the boarding gate, is also implemented with the help of the front one: the flaps of biometrics the turnstile open automatically after the passenger has looked into the camera. " Alexey Markachev, head of the product department of the MDG biometric systems |
As noted in the "CST," security is becoming the basic functionality, on the basis of which in the future it is possible to implement all new options to ensure the comfort of passengers: to select advertising, analyzing preferences - to suggest special offers in Duty Free for exactly the goods that a person already uses that he likes. So the airport is transformed into a friendly digital space, where passengers are comfortable, and airlines at the same time receive a competent tool to increase non-aviation revenues. Fastline Biometrics is a growing market involving interaction with a passenger in the process of check-in, baggage drop-off, security check-in and boarding.
According to the CST, as of February 2019, about 5,600 biometric kiosks and eGates have already been installed at more than 300 airports in 80 countries of the world, and by 2022 the number of such kiosks will triple, as interest and confidence in technology will grow, according to the company.
